I went here for dinner for my birthday and it was so lovely. The servers are very nice and helpful if you have any questions about their menu. They are also very accommodating if you need anything modified to a plate you would like to insure full satisfaction. It’s also a very clean and cozy atmosphere. Despite it being on the more expensive side, you definitely get what you’re paying for. Highly recommend.

Great food and service! A little slow at times, but very good overall, maybe just a busy Saturday night. Pork belly biscuit is a fantastic absolute must-try! Beet and orange salad and 24-month ham very good as well. Cocktails are well-crafted and balanced, just took a long time to get them – bartender looked like she was working as fast as she could, again, seemed like a busy Saturday night. Rockfish and chicken entrees were outstanding – both were cooked perfectly, sweet potato puree with the rockfish was sweet and delicious, while cornbread panzanella with the chicken also shined. Cherry vanilla ice cream for dessert was the best we’ve ever had! Pistachio cake was fantastic, and a bit lighter on the sweetness if that’s what you like. Coffee-caramel cheesecake was a great kicker though – perfectly rich and indulgent.

Went last night for the first time. At first I was surprised at how “small” the menu was. Then we got our food and fully understood. Folks, the food there is ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. We had the rib-eye, brown sugar pork chop and crab cakes. All of which was THE BEST we have ever had. Seriously this place unbelievable. Oh the cornbread cake (or whatever it’s called) was also one of the best things we have ever tried. Many will think it’s “expensive”, anyone familiar with CHEF PREPARED meals will know instantly this place is actually a great value. Absolutely fantastic food, FANTASTIC!

Great atmosphere and service! I really enjoy the whole experience offered by Harper’s table. My only complaint is that the scallops were overly seared to the point that you only tasted the sear and it drowned out the scallops flavor.

Very pretty location and a good atmosphere. My wife enjoyed her crab cakes and pork belly slider. However, my $55 ribeye was over cooked and grossly under seasoned. I only ate about 4 bites, as I was trying to give it a chance. But being both over cooked and under seasoned, I just could not eat it. The side was cooked well but also very under seasoned. The server clearly saw my plate full as she asked to box it up or was I still eating. I informed her I was not eating anymore. She didn’t ask why I had 90% of the food still there, or anything about if I was satisfied with my order. But rest assured she sure as heck charged me for the meal. It was our first time going out in over a year, as we just had a new baby, but thankfully I had a wonderful dinner partner to spend time with, because the meal was a disappointment. 1st and last visit here unfortunately.

I had always heard things about Harper’s Table since 2015 and figured one day I would give them a try on 11/05/2021 since I want to support the City of Suffolk downtown local business. Well, it started as soon as we came up to the establishment. A couple of 4 were together and knew we were behind them and they didn’t even try holding the door for us. We were greeted by the hostess and she looked surprised we were going to be dining in. My wife said something to me and we both had the same impression. We were seated and it took a minute for our drink order to be taken because of the short staffing and trying to serving and clearing tables as well as making drinks. Our waitress Harley B was polite and kind. She wasn’t all familiar with the menu since the menu changes frequently and she had to go back to the kitchen to ask question. She did maintain a great attitude. It took a good amount of time for our drink order to come and a few of the requested drinks the bar didn’t have. Our food order took a very long time to come. The food was tasty but you don’t get what you pay for plus on your bill you will get charged an extra fee of 3.5% for using your credit card so be prepared to pay this fee if you decide to use your card. I would not recommend this unless you want to sit in and don’t mind paying a high-end cost for slow service and food that you could get a more enjoyable lesser price.

I decided to spend my 40th birthday with a party of my beloved friends and family (12) at Harper’s Table and I have absolutely no regrets. I ordered the ribs and Brussels sprouts and it was perfect. Everything from the reservation with Jennifer, to the service with Katie, and finally Harper coming out to meet us at the end was just what it was supposed to be. This restaurant is a gem in Suffolk. The prices were comparable to the quality and taste of the food. The ambiance was great with slightly dimmed lighting and the temperature was very comfortable. We waited a little while for food, but with a larger party I expected a bit of a wait. Overall a great experience and I will be back! I wish I would’ve Easter here sooner.

This place is fantastic. I eat out quite often and I must say the farm to table concept here is done perfectly. Portions were good and everything was fresh. I had the fried flounder which was phenomenal. It was served over fries which I didn’t eat all of because I’m trying to watch the carbs but it also had homemade coleslaw which was fantastic. We had the pork belly biscuit as an appetizer and that was outstanding. Drinks were also good and the mango sorbet dessert was just perfect. Although I live in Maryland, the next time I’m in this area I will definitely go back. 10 out of 10!
