It’s here: Harold’s Chicken in Bourbonnais. We saw several vehicles in the parking lot and decided that this was the place for dinner. New business and it was busy tonight! Keep in mind that they are a new business/location and they are in their SOFT OPENING phase of their business (SEE POSTED PICTURE). They were pleasant and accommodating as the line grew longer. FYI: seating is limited to a few booths at this time.

Never will I go back there. Order chicken and gizzards and waited 30 mins food was cold should had been fresh long as it took. Return it and still wasn’t hot enough sad. Never will I go back and I wouldn’t recommend my friends or family to go eat there…..

Easily best chicken place in town. Even in their soft opening phase, service and food was amazing. The lady at the register was accommodating and informative about menu options and the food came out hot and fresh. Will absolutely be back!!

Since they won’t answer the phone so you can call ahead you know you’re going to have to wait. It’s expected. But when they tell you it’s going to be 25 – 30 minutes and an hour and a half later you’re still waiting for your food, that’s just ridiculous! In an hour I could’ve driven to the Harold’s in Monee, picked up the food and been back. No one wants to wait over an hour and a half for some chicken. If they’re going to stay open they need to do better.

Stopped in for take out to try the new restaurant in town. Service was a little slow, however they were pleasant and friendly. The chicken was fresh but mediocre. It was nothing to write home about. However, the A/C was off in the building and it was probably one hundred degrees in there. Each customer ordered and waited outside. I overhead one of the staff comment on the level of heat. There was no fans either. I am not sure the cause, but it seems like an unhuman environment for employees to have to work in that heat. Owner needs to get that fixed ASAP as it is not fair to your employees to suffer like that.

Please do better with your chicken. You are in a perfect area for great business. Stated was only selling wings and nothing else. When asked for mild sauce, only way I knew it was on there was the smell of it on the wings. If you run out of sauce then say so. Dont let me wait until I get home. Also had no seasoning

The food is horrible tasted like I was eating salt straight out of salt shaker. Not famous Harold’s of chicago. Slaw uneatable . Fries are only thing they got right. Called back to complain refused to answer phone.

My son was here from Cali, and since he hasn’t had Harold’s for about 6yrs so he was so excited to hear that we had one close, so last Saturday we decided to go there for chicken, worst mistake every. We order Perch and Chickens wings and a half Chicken, what we received was not worth the money and was given half of dark meat, 2 pieces were fresh and 2 pieces was dark and refried and really salty that my husband couldnt eat his half of chicken because it was too much salt. We called back for 3 days and no one never answered the phone, so since the phone is not beening answered as if they dont want to hear any complaints, we will no longer patronize this Harold’s for family eat out or for any of our event

I will not be back I am new to the area and I decided to try Harold’s out in Bourbonnais IL since I typically go to the one in the south suburbs Matteson Illinois or Homewood Illinois the young lady that took my order at 1:28 p.m. on Wednesday August 30th did not give me a receipt and also told me the pound cake was separate cash only okay no problem however by the time I walked out with my order it was 2:08 p.m. All I ordered was a large gizzard one piece of catfish a piece of pound cake and a strawberry kiwi mystic once my order was brought up I repeated my order back to the light skin African-American female with blonde weave she said to me “I know what I’m doing “and I responded to her “I never mentioned that you didn’t know what you are doing” I will not be returning to this location as they are unprofessional and clearly they don’t know what they’re doing if it takes them that long for a large gizzard and one piece of catfish. The lack of professionalsim is usually consistent. NO THANKS BOURBONNAIS TOO UNPROFESSIONAL AND GHETTO FOR ME!!!!!

I couldn’t wait for Harolds to open. Everyone knows all Harold Chicken Restaurants are not created equal. With that being said, it’s been years since I had Harold chicken…. 15 years to be exact. Nevertheless, I know when I taste it. Their sauces(Mild sauce) is the give away for me. Opening day was too crowded……so the next day was the same but I placed an order anyway. There are several things I look for in a restaurant: 1. A clean place(it was). 2. The workers attitude (friendly, respectful, and professional). They were even during stressful moments. 3. Quality and Quantity of food. The food was fried to perfection and because they announced up front of a soft opening they pass on the Quantity of food. 4.
