I ate here this morning. The waitress and staff are always so warm and accommodating. The food is great and I enjoy eating here. But this morning when I left, I stayed in my car for a moment sending an email. I saw the sweetest thing happen. The young lady who took my money, came out the door and there was an older gentleman that need help getting out of his vehicle and into the restaurant. It was the sweetest exchange. She made sure his clothes were straightened up and met him with a smiling face and conversation. Bravo to her and Harold Waite’s for employing such excellent caring employees.

The BEST hidden gem in Waco. We’ve lived here for 3 years but had never even seen it before. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The owner was extremely personable and kind- he sat and talked with us for awhile. This place now has our hearts and business!

Entering Harold Waite is like stepping into a time machine. The furniture and decor probably hasn’t changed in fifty years! No frills here. You’ll have to seat yourself and no frappa macha grande coffee ☕️ here. What you will find is good food and friendly service . This is the classic American dinner experience.

This is a hidden gem. I haven’t seen a team work this well in a long long time. I would say this is a Christian run business. Calm environment, the cooks, waitresses ,busboy cleaning tables peaceful place. The food was great, coffee cup never went empty. Thank you for starting my weekend off with a great breakfast. May your business continue to be blessed.

This pancake house has a old fashion homestyle feel to it. My waitress greeted me with a warm smile and a welcoming attitude. I ordered the pigs in a blanket, scrambled eggs and country grits. My coffee was hot and quite delicious. They give good sized portions, but for my taste, it was a bit bland and under impressive. The sausage was overcooked and I felt like I was eating sausage jerky.

Place is great in that they only serve breakfast! Close at 12P, so you need to get there early. You can bring an appetite. However, the portions are a bit on the small side. No fountain drinks. Get a can of soda and a cup of ice. It is higher priced for the portions received, and it seems more geared toward an older crowd. It is okay. Servers are friendly, and service is pretty quick. Just be aware that you will still be hungry when finished.

The food is delicious, with huge portions. I recommend the trash can omelet or the chicken fried steak! The waitresses are polite and do a good job even with big parties. Really good but heavy on the whip cream so if you don’t like alot of whip cream you have to ask for them to make it light or leave it off. The pecan waffle and chocolate chip waffle are also really good.

I’m sad I didn’t take a picture of the amazing food to show how great it was. My husband and I both ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes. The portion was huge, especially the steak, which was surprising because some places try to skimp on the meat. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy, and the eggs and steak cooked properly. I loved that the syrup was warmed up. Our waitress was a pleasure and so very friendly which made for a great experience. Kudos to her and those who prepared our meal. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Waco..

This is a long-time breakfast place, although they have moved to a smaller building. The pancakes, omlettes, and eggs were excellent! The bacon was a little overcooked, too crispy for my liking. The waitress was excellent and told us a little of the history we remembered from college days years ago. I would go back.

07/15/23 A friend and I met at Harold Waites Restaurant as a new place to try. The food was mediocre. The pancakes looked perfect, but we’re not tasty. The coffee and egg were ok. The ham was the best item on this order.
