We zipped into Harned’s for a quick lunch. The service was very good. They come out and take your order or you can eat inside. We had their famous hoagies, fries, and onion rings. It was delicious! Family owned and operated. Check online for their hours as they seem to be open at different times during the year. The food came out quick, well put together, and hot. We spent about 12$ per person.

Cash only here. South’s Best BBQ as advertised?? Definitely not. Really even BBQ? Not in my opinion. No smoker in site and none found in online photos. Off site maybe. Any review calling this the best BBQ anywhere has not eaten any truly quality BBQ. Good thing it’s quite inexpensive because any higher and it would be considered a terrible value. The majority of their menu here has nothing to do with BBQ. They offer chopped pork with sauce as a plate or sandwich and by the pound. Only one sauce choice. The rest of the menu is burgers, ham sandwiches, hoagies, fish(?), and sides. Because neither of us are fans of chopped pork, we went with different choices. The hamburger was plain, small boring. The BBQ ham sandwich is made with some very tasty country ham but practically drowned in the sauce which I found too spicy for my taste. This sandwich without sauce would be a better choice. The fries and onion rings were standard issue food service product. As a matter of fact, none of the sides I saw during our visit resembled anything made in house. All made in a factory somewhere. Fun aspect of Harned’s is the very personable carhops coming out to the car to take your order. If you’d rather not eat in your car, they do have a few tables inside. And anyone complaining about this being a cash only place has no grasp on how credit card processing fees can affect the bottom line of a small family business like this. If that keeps you from enjoying a visit here, so be it. I have a feeling they may have been closed/affected by Covid here as the lack of current photos and reviews on sites such Yelp and Tripadvisor seems telling as to the amount of business they’ve done recently. Did things change after Covid-maybe. But I wouldn’t consider a stop here now unless you are desperately hungry.

We came to Harned’s to do a job for them and we had to eat. These guys are the real deal. If you to eat the best bbq you will ever eat this is the place to go. The service is just as good as the bbq. I already know where I’m going to have lunch next time I’m in Paducah KY.

Only accepts cash. Carhop asked us what bbq we wanted and we said mild. When BBQ was brought out it was like chili powder poured on BBQ. BBQ beans was okay. But not worth the $14 plus we paid for two plates of food.

Pretty nice local place. Service is great but it is a cash only establishment. The prices are very reasonable and the food is tasty. They are very willing to customize anything you want so just talk to the friendly folks. There’s a few tables inside but most people just order from their car. There is no call button but just flash your lights, honk the horn, or wave down one of the gals.

Best BBQ in town and the sides are not bad either! I wish they were open on the weekend, closed on Sat. Sun. and Mon.

Used to be a big fan but had a horrible ordering experience this afternoon. Ordered a sandwich and fries and obviously the order was lost (after waiting 30 minutes I was ready to just drive off). A guy asked me for the third time if I had been waited on and I said yes – 30 minutes ago! Then and only then did I get my order. I would advise calling it in because I watched many people come and go before me and they immediately got their order. Their sign reads Help Wanted – no kidding. How hard is it to take a simple order and keep up with it?
