Some of the best BBQ I’ve had! Everything was fantastic, but the beef rib was my favorite. The cobbler and puddings were great, too. The banana pudding is divine!

The food is good. Nice variety of items. Pit servers are very attentive and fast. You gotta try their sweet tea!! Brisket during Lunch on a Friday afternoon wasn’t the best (dry & cold) but was excellent on Saturday evening Dinner.

Everything was great ! Staff is so nice and helpful. I had a stuffed baked potato with brisket and pull pork ! It was awesome!! Potato was cooked perfectly !! Peach cobbler was delicious and fried okra lightly salted like I asked ! Everything was great , super busy , that’s how you know the food is awesome. We will definitely be going back !!

Was in town for a wedding and was told by many that we needed to stop by Hard 8 BBQ before we left. Great little spot and atmosphere. Pay by the pound type ordering. I wanted to sample all the meats so we got a bite of each minus Turkey and Ham choices. After choosing the meats you walk inside to another line of sides to choose from if you desire. We got spicy corn and a cup of peach cobbler.

This was our first visit to this Hard 8 location and it didn’t disappoint! The line seemed long on a Saturday evening but the line moved fast! You grab a tray and then order whatever meat you want and amount and the price is by weight!

I am in town for work and wanted some BBQ. I seen the special and said, I’ll go. Well I didn’t get special, I got something way better!! The sampler platter is the way to go. I got 4 items and it was AMAZING!! The peach cobbler is one of the best!! I will be coming back before leaving!!

All of this was $60, bit overpriced but it was good. The service was nice and helpful. The pulled pork sandwich with the jalapeño bun was a good combo and the beans are free for dine-in guests. Not sure if I would be back, but overall good experience.

Texas Pit BBQ. The first thing that hits you is the awesome smoked smell that rushes through the building. They are cooking out in the open, and you get to walk through the herd lanes, taking it all in. This sets you off to think “I Want to Try Everything”. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The set up is friendly and you get to interact with the cook team. Inside you gets sides, I suggest twice baked potato salad.

We typically come to Texas once a year and Hard Eight BBQ located in Roanoke is always one of our stops. Everything is good so it’s hard to choose what to eat. Definitely recommend the Brisket and Ribeye. Come with a good appetite, you won’t be disappointed.
