Today was my first experience at Happy +Hale. I could not have been more satisfied! The staff was helpful and polite as I tried to navigate the menu. I decided on the Coco Curry bowl with chicken. It was fresh and flavorful with a generous portion. I highly recommend trying this location for vegans, vegetarians, or anyone just wanting to try something new. I will definitely be back! The picture is half way through my meal. It was so good I almost forgot to take the picture

I don’t think I’ve ever placed an online order here that’s ended up being correct when I pick it up. When I get home I see there’s always items missing or wrong. I’ve ordered breakfast wraps and salad bowls where ingredients are missing that I’ve paid extra for or items get substituted or the order is just wrong. Today I ordered an Incredibowl and it was missing the mint, avocado, and sweet potato that comes on the bowl – that’s 33% of the ingredients missing, yet I’m still paying full price for it. I hate to be so negative because I do think the staff is nice and the food tastes good usually, but I’m getting tired of there always being issues with consistency and quality in my orders. I’m not usually one too say a place is overpriced because I know there’s a lot of effort and labor that goes into making food, but this place is definitely not worth it until they fix their quality issues. If I’m paying $12 for a salad bowl that doesn’t even have any meat in it, it shouldn’t be missing a third of the ingredients that come on it. It’s really disappointing – if they could fix these consistency issues then they’d have a higher rating. Unfortunately I’ve been ordering here for years and this has always been a problem – I’d say definitely do not order online from here.

Loved the scramble and the wrap but the smoothie was a lil bland and all I tasted was banana which wasn’t bad just wasn’t what I expected. I also got some chicken and steak on the side which was seasoned to perfection! Definitely going back to make my way down the menu

Ordered an Açaí bowl and Hale Cesar and got my order to go. The açaí bowl was good but the Hale Cesar had a long black hair in it that I didn’t discover it until I got half way through my salad. I was completely disgusted.

The service is poor. They don’t prepare adequate enough food for linch service. The MANAGER easily flustered and becomes rude and aggressive to customers. There are other places in Durham to eat in a relaxed enjoyable environment. STEER CLEAR of this chaos.

Today was my first time at Happy + Hale. I ordered an $18 acai bowl for pickup. I picked it up promptly but what I got was acai soup. The add on (that I paid extra for) was not included. I’m definitely not interested in returning. That’s too much money for a soupy bowl.

Awesome place for lunch/ casual meals. Got the Hale Caesar bowl and it was superb. Kales were covered heavily in their sauce and a bit of cheese, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The pickled onions that I added also made the bowl much better. Other ingredients like coconut bacons also helped me go through the bowl without having to feel like I’m only eating salad. Overall, a solid place to get your daily dose of greens.

I got the Thai Chicken Crunch salad and the City of Oats smoothie. The salad was delicious, fresh and I loved the dressing. The smoothie was just good. I’ll definitely be back for more salads.
