Not impressed. The cook need more training in how to cook better food and not use mystery meat.

Best take out Chinese restaurant in Camarillo, hands down. Family owned and operated by JC and his wife Tram. They always provide outstanding service and the food is always fresh. I’ve been coming here for 10+ years and always have a positive experience.

Love the decor after the renovations! Everyone is so nice and helpful! They recommend sampling all of the options! Made it really difficult to choose! I got half fried rice, half chow mein, orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. We had a great time and even had leftovers because of the healthy portions! It’s ready to go like panda but has a homestyle taste.

For many years this was a place I’d sometimes go to. A few weeks ago I ordered a bowl of steamed rice and teriyaki chicken. I opened the bag and there was no fork and no teriyaki sauce on the chicken. I ate it anyway and didn’t have an issue. A few days ago I go back to order the same thing and asked why no teriyaki sauce on the teriyaki chicken. She says “that’s something you have to ask for.” What’s the logic to this? Most people who order teriyaki chicken expect teriyaki sauce on it. I accepted her answer and asked for 3 sauces and went back to my office. When I started eating it, though, the chicken tasted wrong. It tasted old and weird. That’s the last time I’m going.

Front of house staff was warm and pleasant… Sweet chow mein with spaghetti noodles is pretty gross..The kungpao was tasty, but the fatty sauce hurts your stomach

In comparison Panda Express is cooking another batch of something all the time while Happy Bowl has kind of tired items there all day.

Less than impressed. Their set up is similar to a mall food court spot. I wasn’t loving the look of the stuff out on the steamer trays so I ordered some of their “made to order” entrees for 9.99. Which is consists of a meat and white rice. I ordered the Mongolian beef which was basically two whole sliced onions with a little bit of beef (see picture). Fried rice isnt a side, it’s a “made to order” option which also comes with…more rice as a side. The chop suey is just vegetables and it just tastes like boiled cabbage. Their egg drop soup is a hefty portion but it costs $7. It’s really just not worth the money.

Food probably sits there for hours. BBQ was dry as Jerry. Orange chicken was soggy and disappointing. Threw most of it away. Waste of money
