Great service and food. We live in BA and we have been coming here after a Japanese friend recommended it. We got the shrimp shumai and sweet potato tempura appetizer and my wife got the tonkatsu combo and I got the seven piece assorted sushi set. The tonkatsu was average by the the tenderness of the pork and the fried panko texture, everything else was very good.

This was my family’s first experience with authentic Japanese food, so we weren’t really sure what to expect. Our server, Kat, was well educated on their menu and flavors, asked intelligent questions about our likes/dislikes, and made really good suggestions on things we might like. It was all good and very flavorful, but the Pokémon roll and the Hapa Chicken stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Very flavorful! Service was excellent. Highly recommend!!

This place is AMAZING. I highly recommend the Gyu Don. The wait service is quick and friendly, always making sure that you are taken care of. This restaurant is covered in nerdy merch like Pokemon and comic book characters, as well as live music from local bands. The extensive sushi menu is hip and delicious, featuring sushi like I’ve pictures such as Ghost in the Shell, Brown Eyed Girl, Joker and Harley Quinn,and Godzilla. I cannot recommend this place enough to do it justice.
