My goodness!!! This Hangry Joe’s located at Duke Street in Alexandria, is simply the BEST fried chicken we have ever had! The flavor, the heat, the crispiness, the juiceness, the tenderness, and freshness it is something that cannot be duplicated. And the sides… Oh my!!! The freshest and most tasteful slaw we’ve ever had. Try it! The Mac and Cheese was so delicious and cheesey. Love the fried okra and waffle fries. I mean, simply put, this restaurant is great! The owner and his wife were awesome; So attentive and humble. They truly enjoy serving their customers and giving you a fantastic experience. I wish them success and blessings. Tried hangry joe’s for the first time yesterday. The gentleman that took my order was really nice (not sure if he was the owner). I tried the food as soon as I got in the car, it was hot and made to order. I got the combo 2 mild, I think I can safely say I can go up in spice level to a medium, mild is safe for those who don’t have a spice tolerance. On the flavor scale I will give it a 6 out of 10 maybe because I tried Dave’s hot chicken and their flavor is off the charts. The hangry sauce and honey mustard is really good and goes well with the chicken a fries, will be back to try other items.

I haven’t been able to find a good chicken and waffles until this place! It was sooo good. My husband got the chicken sandwich and said it was the best he’s had here. Prices are great too and you get a lot of food. Highly recommend!

Clean and the staff are so friendly and nice. Food tastes AMAZING!!!!!! Priced just right and if you are looking for something new to try, definitely the place to go. Interior is fresh, the menus aren’t too confusing, but enough if you want to try them all out. Take it to go or stay, place has enough settings and parking isn’t too bad either. Like this place for sure! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

CRUNCH! Perfect fries , pickles, chicken , and yummy sauce! The sandwich is big! I don’t give 5 stars ⭐ but this place is wonderful! Can’t wait to go back to try the smoothies. Got the bites, strips, and a sandwich. Got the medium and hot levels for heat and both were lip tingling good! We got this Uber eats and the fries were still perfect!

I don’t know exactly why, but I had low expectations going into the restaurant. I understood that this is not a place to go for atmosphere, but the restaurant appeared clean and was bright. No complaints. It was what I was expecting. But what I wasn’t expecting was HUGE portions and tasty chicken and fries. I got the Chicken Fingers and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the chicken. It was moist and delicious and there was a lot of it. I thought to myself that my wife and I would be satisfied sharing an order.

Wow. I got the spicy chicken sandwhich, salad, and the chicken bites. Everything tasted fresh with a little kick. The spiciness didn’t overcome the taste of the chicken and this is my favorite Hangry Joe’s. I highly recommend. The photos don’t do them justice!!
