Small menu = higher quality. We enjoyed the thick, savory kimchi pancake, the comforting honey chicken and the banchan. Big portions! Service was super friendly! Only 5 4-top tables in this restaurant and they have AC now. We would come here again; this place slaps!

Came here with friends tonight and they said it was the best food they’ve had on the island so far (they came a couple days early)! Delicious homemade food, really sweet staff / owners. Not touristy at all and easy to miss (it’s in a corner) but make sure you come here if you like authentic food!

Lovely family owned Korean place tucked into the corner of a shopping strip in Hilo. Absolutely delicious garlic butter shrimp. Had the shaved ice afterwards and it was awesome. Wonderful service!

Did a takeout order and all dishes ordered were excellent. However, I tried calling restaurant today to make a lunch reservation for 4 guests for Thursday (6/22/23), but was unable to get through. Also contacted Google Assistant for help with the reservation, but they were unsuccessful, too! Can anyone help me contact Haneul Cafe?

Best Korean food in Hilo. Great portions and delicious food. Reminds me of my grandma’s cooking. Shaved ice are also amazing the the potions quite large! Overall, extremely happy and will be coming back regularly.
