Got a decent chunk of the menu and everything was great. The quality of the cuts match what is available at Aiko and we loved the fast pace that we were able to enjoy dinner. Great meal and will be back

Great spot for handrolls. Fair price, nice setting, friendly service, and the food and drinks are delicious. The Olyshii cocktail was a great start to the meal, and the Sake Crudo, BGB Sake Handrolls, Toro Sashimi, and Spicy Tuna Handrolls were all excellent. About 5 Handrolls were enough to satisfy me. Would definitely come back.

Exotic but exquisite hand rolls, some spicy but not burning experience. Delicious paired with sake!!! Simple decoration, good contemporary music, not so loud you can have a good conversation. High chairs at Montrose. Parking on site.

We pretty much live this spot for sushi. Very chill, hip vibe and the staff is very personable and accommodating. The menu is very small and that’s one of my favorite aspects of this restaurant. They have decided what they want to do and execute those items flawlessly. Personally, I am over going to sushi joints and wading through 200-item menus. At handies Douro it’s one page front/back about the size of a happy hour menu. My wife and I go there regularly and order about half the menu and a bottle of sake. It’s amazing.

For what you’re getting, the food isn’t really worth it. It’s pretty expensive for how small the portions are. And they took so long to make each individual hand roll. It wasnt even busy at the time. Aside from me and my friend, there was only two other customers. The handrolls themselves aren’t bad, but they aren’t anything special.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We both ordered the 4 hand rolls but ended up adding an additional and we aren’t big people. All four were excellent. Our favorite was the salmon (called BGB). I ordered an extra of that one. My husband ordered their special Uni and didn’t care for it. It’s quite slimy. It must be an acquired taste. That said, we will definitely be going back. We want to try the other location as well .

Delicious hand rolls! First time here and first time to the handies experience the staff was super friendly and the hand rolls sets were a great price point and quality excellent! I’ll definitely be coming back! I love the sake came in small juice box! Totally coming back with friends. Great way to spend my Christmas Eve! Thanks to staff for being so friendly and courteous!

Service is excellent and the food was stellar. I’d like to go back, but I’ll adjust my expectations around cost. It was ~$40 for 3 hand rolls and crudo (both small portions) with tip. If you’re hungry, you’ll need more than that to fill you up.

We really enjoyed the food but the portions were so tiny! We each got 5 hand rolls and we are not big people. I’ve been to multiple hand roll places in the city and in LA and these were by far the smallest. I have to give them thumbs up for attentive and friendly service and tasty rolls though.

Handies Douzo is super fresh and good! Just as good as Hando if not better! And located close to some good private schools. I really enjoyed the 5 piece set, especially the salmon hand roll.
