This place was a miss for my sister and I. She wanted a tasty smash burger and didn’t get that. The service was great. The owner asked how things were. It was very busy but the food came out at a good time. The reason for the 2 stars. Is one the fries were lukewarm and tasted frostbitten. The salad was good but the grilled chicken was so dry it was tough to eat. Almost like they had been cooking it all day or it was old. My sister had the burger and she said the meat was way to thin. She said that wasn’t how smash burger are and she loves a good smash burger. It was basically fried crust. She didn’t like it at all. I did taste the edge of her burger ( the crispy part) and it tasted like oil. The dressings for the salad had no taste. The best dressing was the white BBQ sauce. I ended up using that on my salad. It’s really really good. I was very unimpressed at the size of the salad as well. For 16 dollars it was a hand full of lettuce. I don’t think I would go back.

One of the few places where I can get a flat burger with a vegetarian patty. All the sauces are delicious. The veggie burger patty is always cooked to perfection- not sure how they get it so juicy and flavorful. Probably the best vegan burger I’ve had.

They have a bar on the left as you walk in. They have tall cans and mixed drinks. I haven’t had any of their mixed drinks. They have a soda machine. They also serve salads but I haven’t tried them. I’ve had their smash burgers and the fries with the patties and onions. They have a lot of sauce options on the right side of the register next to the soda machine. They also have bathrooms with a code and an area outside the bathroom where you can wash your hands which comes in handy for your little ones. They have a cool mural that leads you to the bathrooms and area to wash your hands passing the kitchen doors. They always seem to have a steady flow of people. Service is great. The food is great. I loved the sauce by Infinity Sauce

Hammer burger and hammer fries are so delicious! We used to follow them around and visit their food truck. I love the clean inside of their new space. Their staff was so friendly and we enjoyed every last bite of our food. Their restaurant in downtown Santa Ana is full of art and family friendly. My belly is so happy! Thank you for your delicious hamburgers.

This has got to be the best burger in California!!! we’ve been following hammer burger since the food truck and they have kept the quality the same. My wife and I must admit that Sam has been a great addition to the team. He provides amazing customer service, always so happy and full of positive energy. We will be coming back again and again. Food was delicious. Burgers are great, a perfect smash burger with a crispy crust. They have 6 different house made sauces that are great for dipping fries or even burgers. The fries are very well seasoned, not just plain salt and could be eaten by themselves without any sauce. I highly recommend coming here for a burger and supporting this local business.

Every other smash burger doesn’t cut it. Hammer Burger really smashes it! I’ve been eating Hammer since they had their food truck starting in 2021 and they are the best. The patties are super flat, lacy, and crispy. I’d recommend extra onions and grilled jalapeno as well!

One of the best smash burgers we have tried. The guys working we’re very kind and helpful. We did not have to wait to get food. Their pickles are very delicious and different than other restaurants. The burgers were juicy and perfectly made, we will make the long drive again and visit.

The pop ups were great. The truck was excellent. Location in Santa Ana absolutely incredible. Same great smash burgers you used to only get once a week if you’re lucky is now available damn near everyday. Still the best burger I’ve ever had on the west coast and no other smash comes close. Best part is the small separate bar in the new location where you can grab a local beer on draft, domestic crispy bois in can, and even wine while you watch the game and crush a flatty. So stoked for this new spot and it’s location in one of the coolest neighborhoods in OC. Hammer Burger is just Built Better, period.
