One of the fastest most affordable and tastiest food carts around downtown Newark.

It’s classified as health food. I agree, I’m a lot happier after I’ve stuffed my face with meat over rice. Important to get the red and green sauce in the corners so you can adjust your pain.

It’s really good. The overall quality is great and they treat customers with great respect. I would highly recommend to try it, if you are in Newark area. It generally cost around 5-6$.

The cleanest, healthiest, and delicious halal food you’re going to get in Newark. I’ve been going to this cart for 7 years. No problem ever. It’s even better than Halal Guys which is down the street, always empty!

The best bang for your buck around Rutgers Newark, really. Either sandwiches and gyros for $5 or the platter for $7, both being really great options. Don’t sleep on the hot sauce either as it has plenty of kick that one would want! The lamb and chicken are personal favorites of mine and I can always look forward to this place for a quick yet extremely filling bite! Customer service is always nice too!

I literally used to eat here everyday during my NJIT stay. They don’t come to the campus during summer (that was the worst time for me). The amount of meat they provide, is kind of more than rice. Their white sauce and hot sauce were too tasty. I liked every option there(chicken over rice, lamb over rice, Philly cheese stake etc…). I moved from NJ after my graduation and I still miss Halal R’us. Hopefully, I will taste their food in next May when I will visit NJIT for my commencement. Highly recommending Halal R’US

unlike food cart, they have a restaurant where you can sit and have their famous chicken over rice. typical taste like 53×6 ave one. I was there on Sunday so no crowd at all. ordered peacefully and had my chicken platter. I like it more white sauce and pinch of hot sauce. try it, you would like it. rest was clean. I guess its bit expensive as cart has $7 (not sure). and another thing which I have noticed, the portion is not that big, cart gives you full bowl which is more than sufficient for you but here you have to ask the server to fill more rice. so more price, less portion. the only problem is you have to find parking which is tough in peak hours.

The cart in downtown Newark opp McDonald’s is run by some very hard working individuals who always have smile on their faces. Good food at a very good price. Better than Halal Guys in my opinion where you have to pay twice or three times as much for the same thing. Keep it up !!
