Tried it for the first time a few days ago. It was…fine, I guess. They didn’t have a lot of stuff that was on the menu. Like it was four pm and they had run out of or didn’t have wings or broccoli that was on the menu. How do you run out of chicken wings and broccoli. You can literally get it from the supermarket. Also what I ordered, Haitian Fried Chicken, was not what I got. They also rung it up as as a $14 entree when it was NOT a platter. I literally just ordered the chicken which was listed on the menu as $7. No one really liked their food. The rice was good but the veggies were soggy. Between the three of us who ate, we all said we wouldn’t go back again. But I wish them the best!

First i like to say i love everything stewed. Salmon bites, black rice, greens an cabage, my son loved his oxtails, white rice, mac n cheese, my other son had red beans n rice stewed snapper an punkin soup, the plaintains. Very good food. We will be back.

Delightful… the fried whiting, the stewed chicken, the vegan oxtail, the black rice, rice & beans, cabbage-greens! All tasty and nice portions. I plan to try some of the other dishes as well. Definitely recommend!

I just ordered from Shasha’s Creole Kitchen (which is in the same area). We used to order from Haitian American Cuisine. We’ve complained (along with other customers) about the small portion sizes they give to customers. I am posting a photo of the decent/larger portion size (Sasha’s Creole Kitchen) gave us for a large order of griot. I used to count the few numbers of pieces of griot this Haitian American Cuisine used to give us. It used to be about 5 pieces of griot in the same container with rice. They charge about the same price. But look at the portion size Sasha’s gave us. So, you know Haitian American lost us as a customer. Perhaps they’ll lose more people once people realize they can get more for the same amount of money at Sasha’s. We saw the owner here at Haitian American never increased the portion sizes. So, we have regularly started going to Sasha’s now. Please see attached photo. I will say Haitian American food is tasty but again portion sizes are too small. The owner told me himself other customers have complained. So why hasn’t he increased the amount of food he gives to customers, since his prices have increased. You are Jipping, cheating the customers. More money should equal more food.

We visited here on a business trip from Texas. I’m originally from Florida where we have Haitian restaurants on every corner but moved to Texas and we have NONE. When visiting any city I definitely look for a Haitian restaurants. After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical but I know sometimes reviews can be biased. We ordered legume, griot, chicken and oxtails. 10/10! Everything was amazing. We walked in starving and walked out stuffed. The portion size was great. The food was seasoned to perfection. No complaints. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend this place.

I asked for 1 oxtail platter $18 and 1 chicken platter $15. Instead I got 2 chicken platters (for $33) So basically I was ripped off of $3. I tried calling them, and the phone number goes to a full voicemail where you cannot leave a message.
