We are from San Francisco and love Mexican. This review is a rare one for me because the food really did blow us away.. it’s been a while since we were all really impressed. We were really really impressed with the food. Our kids ordered plates with two tacos rice and beans. The plates were big beautiful ceramic plates, beans hot with a touch of cheese melting, rice was deliciously cooked seasoned, the chicken in the taco was moist and delicious, with fresh salsa. My wife and I had the fajita bowls where the onions peppers were fresh and just seared. The chicken grilled perfectly, over rice and black beans. I could taste the roasted tomato, I asked for roasted jallipeno and it was also done perfectly. Sour cream on top.. it’s was all fresh, grilled veggies came through, flavors amazing.

Stopped in late one evening since it was nearly the only place open after 7 pm. Lucky us! In a time when restaurants are skimping and raising prices, we were professionally served a delicious, generous plate with great salsa. We look forward to eating there again.

Very good food very good service. The couple across from me were very picky there wasn’t anything the waitress could do to make them happy. I tried to pick up their tab but it was already done so I gave her a generous tip in hopes it made up for the difficult people she had to deal with LOL

Recently had cause to go to Ashland, and was excited to knock a few towns off the Great Oregon Burger Bucket List (my quest to have a burger in every town in Oregon). Found a Mexican restaurant with burgers, La Pinata, in Drain, and headed over. Really cool local spot. Serves just about everything, friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. Huge cookies!! Being sold to pay for trips to watch the Atlanta Braves, of which this is a mini Mecca for fans.

Generous portions for the money, tasty, well executed plates, nothing oversalted. Chips could have been warmer and quality improved, I’d recommend a different brand or make them in house. Other than the chips and salsa (which was a bit spicier than expected) it was very delicious. I like spicy things, I eat jalapeños cook with Puya, Arbol, Japones, etc,- family is Oaxacan- but sometimes there’s a wild hot chili that breaks the rules and makes eating your meal a lil hotter.
