We used to be regulars at our favorite Mexican Resturant, El Sarape in Port Townsend, but after they went out of business we were searching for a new family favorite place. And we have now found our new home with the friendly staff and owners at Hacienda Tizapan. What a great place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Friendly staff and great food and drinks. Outdoor eating area was a plus. Thank you being so kind to us during our traumatic time with my Mom being in the hospital. We appreciated you being so kind to us when we came in at the last minute wanting a real meal after being at Harborview all day with my Mom. Best meal ever! You guys rock! You will be our families go-to favorite place to come to relax and enjoy a great meal. (Drinks are the bomb too!)

I must have come on the wrong day. By the reviews and pictures it looked like an amazing place to have my lunch for my sons birthday. Only one other table was occupied. We had a seat and the waitress said she would be with us shortly. No menus, chips or water. Not until another family came in and got seated given menus, chips and water were we finally given menus but no water. After we ordered she brought out our drinks and finally some chips and salsa. Our food was served quickly and looked absolutely delicious as we realized we had never received any dinnerware or napkins. So we waited and waited til we got her attention. The food was really good. Rice was a little bland but the red sauce very flavorful. We were given our bill and paid with a card. Upon reviewing the receipt noticed an additional fee for using the card. At no time was this fee mention or written anywhere visible which seemed odd. We have no issue paying any card fees but it would have been nice to know beforehand. Overall I would give this place a 3/10 for service and 6/10 for food quality. Our family is multicultural and I’d hate to think this was racially motivated but it seems to happen far too often to be mere coincidence.

I haven’t wanted to try a lot of Mexican food in Washington, but their carne asada burrito is probably the best I’ve ever had. The meat is just perfect and the burrito is filling without me feeling too full after finishing the whole thing. We basically have ordered that same thing every time we go. (About 7 times)

Place is my go to for delicious food*(Trio Fajitas w/beans/rice and Chili Relleno are 2 faves), and a great time in Port Townsend. Owners are extremely friendly, service was excellent(Marco is fantastic), drinks were paired with dinner, which made it even more unique. Strongly suggest you give this place a visit.

Our waitress’s were amazing, super friendly and talkative. The food came out super quickly and we were shocked by how good it was, all six of us ate all of our food, 5/5 stars!

If I could leave no stars I would. Wow I paid $51.50 for 5 tacos and 1 veggie burrito. If each taco is $3.75, then the burrito was over $30! I’ve never paid that much for a burrito… a VEGGIE BURRITO! I understand uncharging for a veggie burrito, but this is absurd because the meat burritos include rice and beans and are cheaper. It wasn’t even good. I opened it up took 2 bites and couldn’t eat it. The tacos are like the cheap crunchy shell ground beef tacos you get from the grocery store. They were soggy too. So save your appetite for somewhere else because this food sucks.
