Jimmy and Penny Christopher immigrated to Boston from Greece. They met and married in the US and went on to open multiple restaurants on the North Shore. Jimmy retired in 2012 and Penny decided to carry on the family business with her son Paul. Penny combined her years of experience in the restaurant business along with her love for design in order to bring an authentic Greek grill into Boston. Today, Penny and Paul operate Gyro City in Boston and Brighton where they follow Jimmy’s recipes in order to provide the most authentic Greek food outside of Athens. All of the food is handmade and prepared freshly every day

For the amount of food they give for their dinner plate, I will say that it is definitely a value for money meal. There is no way I could eat everything in one meal. However, it is very oily and salty. Tasty yes, but you probably need to drink a lot of water after. I wished there is an option to ask for less salt on the meat. Wraps are also pretty good!

Excellent. I am writing this review after having finished my food and still sitting on the table. They have real authentic Greek pork gyros. Only thing I would change to make them the best in America would be to season the fries a little. Maybe some regano salt pepper mix?

I had gyros from here a couple of weeks back since I had been craving them for a while. I felt a little less attentiveness from the staff. The place is not great for dine-in. The food was good though, so I might order take-out or delivery the next time.

A friend recommended this place to me and I enjoyed the food there. I ordered the pork gyro and the dinner plate with lamb. The portions are more than generous and the food taste great. I actually enjoyed the pork gyro better between the two. I will definitely come back if I am around the neighborhood.

I order 6 gyros from them and 2 of them was really cool. I call them and the manager can’t do anything about it. He refused to give me a refund or make another one. So I spend my money and time and them don’t know what customer service is.
