Great diner. This is a must place to try when in Tucson. My waitress Amanda was great, very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and the place it’s self. I was lucky enough to show up on rice pudding day. As I was told by Amanda, it only happens occasionally. The proprietor was present and working like any one else on staff. I always like to see that at a restaurant. I wish I could have got back for another meal,as the menu was very abundant with options. Next year upon my yearly visit, this will be on the agenda for meals.

Nice old-fashion diner. Went here for breakfast and the food was sooo good! The waitress was so nice and she did an awesome job. We never had to ask her for re-fills. Would definitely be coming back here when I’m in the area.

Toast was tough and too toasted, not cut in half. The supreme omelet was basically beaten eggs cooked on a grill folded over and the toppings added. No fluffy omelet here. The hash browns were so so. I won’t go back.

It’s a diner…a good diner with good servers, fluffy pancakes, large Belgian waffles and oh the huge cinnamon buns! If you order a bun to go and pick up the bag for the first time, you’d think they’d put a cat in there! It’s so yummy. If you order several and can’t eat them all, make bread pudding!

Our first time there. The place was very clean and service was excellent. The only reason they did not get five stars was because my Bacon came it was cold and it was old and also the hash browns were cold and also that sitting around a while. But we certainly would go back again

This is a family owned lunch counter that bakes their own bread, rolls and pies. The breakfast menu has favorites like chicken fried steak and fried pork chops and homemade corned beef hash and my favorite, the breakfast Burger, a home baked bun with a pork sausage, bacon egg and cheese. The waitresses treat you like family. Don’t forget to order their specialty, sweet roll. You won’t be disappointed.

The chicken had a nice flavor and good crunch however the hot sauce wasn’t hot and had no flavor so it was lacking that kick it needed to take it over the top. The waffle was decent and the pancake was a bit dry.

It has been year’s and Gus’ is even better than I remember. The cinnamon rolls are huge and fantastic. However even better us the country ham. It is much larger than either Waffle House or Cracker Barrel.
