An unexpected pleasant experience. The interior has a high end vibe but the clientele keep a casual feel. The wait staff is friendly, and the food is great. The steaks and seafood are pricey but they have other options like the chicken fried steak for about $13. Simple menu made ordering easy.

I believe it’s one of the best places to get a steak on second thought it’s probably one of the better places to eat in Texas City. If you ever get the chance to go to Gus’s, do not hesitate, you may even need a reservation. Please order the steak, you will not be disappointed. The next time that we go to Texas City, we will certainly come to Gus’ and have a mouth watering steak medium rare.

I haven’t been here since they were across the street a few years back but stopped in for lunch today. Had the ribeye steak, crab cakes, and some fried mushrooms with some co workers. The food was excellent and the service was just as good. Huge improvements have been made at this restaurant. Highly recommend!

Went here for the first time and automatically fell in love with it! I got the filet mignon with a baked potato on the side, and let me tell you I was so full by the end of it but the food was super good and the service is really fast even on a busy day. Our waitress was awesome too, she was on point with anything we or anyone else needed ☺️

Carpet is dirty, very dark but not in a good way. Steak came out overdone sent back, my party was finished eating by time it came out to me. I use to really enjoy this restaurant, but it is slipping in quality of food, service,and cleanliness of restaurant. It makes me sad.

Filet was perfectly cooked. Baked potato and mashed potatoes were both great, Only negative is that the grilled chicken salad was definitely lacking. Only had chicken a single tomato slice and a handful of cheese. Quite underwhelming for a $13 salad. Aside from that the service was wonderful as was the majority of the meal.
