Great all round experience. Excellent service, quick and very professional. Food was very good if a little under seasoned. Disappointed there was no bread offered, and the toast pieces with the tuna tartare looked like they were out of a packet. Steak was properly medium rare, and delicious. A little pricey but, you have to pay a bit more for quality these days, so not unreasonable.

Finally had a chance to try this wonderful addition to the Marin dining scene. Everything working on all cylinders. Great host nabbed us a prime table in the lively dining room. Service spot on for stellar martini (Plymouth), oysters (Canadian), Caesar salad, saffron rice balls, followed by wild salmon with beans and mashed potatoes, and dazzling chicken sandwich with crisp fries. Took cookies to go. Compelling wine list. Ready to return soon. Reservations best bet.

An awesome meal where our server made helpful suggestions, which were out of this world. The miyake mushroom appetizer was amazing to share for three of us. Then our main dishes; roasted pumpkin bisque, radiatori bolognese, shrimp & sausage spaghettini were plentiful – followed by the flourless chocolate cake and three spoons a perfect finish. The restaurant’s acoustics were great allowing for conversation without shouting across the table. Truly a special evening with neighbors.

You could make an entire meal from the appetizers alone. The inspired menu is eclectic and yet simple. The dishes key ingredients speak for themselves. The wine list features many selections for those just waiting a glass and offers superior variety above and beyond the ubiquitous California Zinfandel or Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that we see in almost every restaurant in northern California.

The place worked hard to be a fancy Marin restaurant, nice atmosphere, elegant dining room, it could have had it all. Yet they forgot that a restaurant is mainly about what’s in the plate, and sadly they missed that one real hard. The tuna tartare was fishy, the cacio e pepe forgot both the cacio and the pepe but surely delivered on the endless pile of cream. I had one hope left with the desserts, naively thinking it could be why the crowd suffers through the painful dinner, but all hope left at the first bite of something I miraculously managed to forget about.

One of my favorites! Maybe it’s my top favorite. The food is always excellent. Never been disappointed. I always sit outside. The fried chicken was delicious.

The Cioppino was underwhelming, the best being the bread. Otherwise nothing special. The mud pie was unconventional with pudding instead of ice cream and was also feh.

Loved their cocktails (minus the little red Corvette) and the chicken sandwich was really good but really didn’t care much for their beef short ribs bourguignon which didn’t taste like a bourguignon at all (no red wine taste to it and not very much beef for the price).
