Our friendly and helpful server patiently answered our questions. The food was decent, and we enjoyed the atmosphere of this vintage, family-owned restaurant.

Great food. Awesome employees. This was my 2nd visit, 2 days in a row too! I’ll definitely be back for another visit soon! Visiting Roosevelt Lake? Swing by Guayo’s on the Trail for some great Mexican food. Seems like a hotspot for the locals too so you know it’s gotta be good. Cool cars out front too!

The chips were homemade, the salsas came in tall pourable glass, and both were fantastic. I ordered a #11 and was pleasantly surprised that my rellano was perfect. The taco and tostada were exceptionally delicious. My only complaint is that it’s 60 miles away from my house ! Makes for a nice drive though.

I have no idea why this place is so raved about and popular. The prices for the tacos we ordered were unbelievably expensive and horribly plain with hardly any meat in them, at all (mostly shredded lettuce and light sprinkle of shredded cheese) I picked up the box of 10 tacos we ordered and the box felt darn near empty. My opinion they are Very similar to the $1 fast food tacos, Not an authentic taco. In all honesty (For the quality offered here) I’d say save your money and head to the fast food taco place if you have a lot of people to feed. $60 later and my family was still starving.

This was some of the worst food I have ever been served in my entire life. I almost immediately got ill, and half of my party did as well. The avocado definitely tasted rancid. One of the people with us had a chunk of metal in their burrito. This place is UNSAFE!

After driving in a new Jeep over the Four Peaks pass and coming around the back side of Roosevelt Lake my friend and I were getting really hungry. We looked on Google Maps for a Mexican restaurant in Miami, AZ and it led us to Guayo’s on the Trail.

The Miami/Globe Arizona area is a mecca for great Mexican food and the only place that comes close to Guayo’s on the Trail is Guayo’s El Ray. I only wish they were down in the valley so I could eat there more often.

So good!, beef taco was the best for me; green chili, chimichanga, fresh chips, and great ice tea.
