I was looking for a Guatemalan place here in Arizona, I am very delighted to find this restaurant. The food is very authentic. Fresh bakery and delicious tamales!! Wow!! The service was spectacular, the ladies are very welcoming and super friendly. We will definitely return. It’s a must try for Authentic Guatemalan food (the place is small, like a small mom and pop shop).

Delicious and authentic Guatemalan food. Will definitely stop by again. We purchased Rellenitos, tamales de masa y tamales de arroz, Chille relleno plate and chuchitos. Everything was excellent.

The food is tasty and they give you good portions but the two times I’ve eaten here, they haven’t had half of the things I wanted to order (especially desserts, they never have rellenitos, pastelitos, flan, chuchitos). The caldo de res was very good, highly recommend. The mar y tierra was ok, the chicken seem dry as well as the carne asada seem tough. The pepian is good.

Had an appointment close by & decided to check this place out. Got a pineapple drink & some chips. Very friendly & clean. A little expensive, but the items I purchased were imported. Looking forward to visiting again!

I feel bad leaving this review because I really wanted to like this place. I brought a friend who is from Guatemala, to enjoy the food and bakery but it was nothing like the website.

Very expensive for guatemalan food. The food was not as authentic. $8 for a Chile relleno!!! The owner should rethink prices. Bread was old not fresh for being a bakery

We enjoyed Guatemaya very much! My husband went to Guatemala on his mission trip, and he said the food here tasted authentic. I got the Hilachas dish and it was very tasty with good spice and flavor. Next time we’re in Arizona, we’ll definitely come here again. The staff was also very nice, and the decorations are very colorful. This is a great place to come if you’ve ever wanted to try authentic Guatemalan food!

I ordered two tamales. They were wonderful! The meat was super tender. I feel bad that I don’t know much Spanish, so be prepared!

I really wanted to give this restaurant a good review. This was the second time my husband and I visited this restaurant. The first time was after covid and thought things would be better in our second visit. I have to say there is alot of work to be done when It comes to cleanliness, availability in the menu and wait time. Many of the items on the menu were not available. The restaurant has roaches, the floor and ceiling were dirty, the tortilla baskets were dirty, there is only one waitress and one cook.We almost walked out when we saw the roach, but had already order the food and didn’t want to be mean, however I wished we would have as we ended up with a stomach bug that night. I think this restaurant has the potential to be great with more staff to help with a deep clean and cooking. We waited almost an hour for our food and it was just us two and another family eating.
