A wonderful spot to eat with family and friends every time. Excellent cuisine and a great staff. This restaurant has been around since we were kids, and the food is always delicious!

Quaint little diner! The owner was so very sweet. She definitely needed some more help it took a while to get our food, but I had the club sandwich with fried okra and it was so very good, my fiancée had the red beans, she said they were ok needed more seasonings and they were a little cold and needed cornbread instead of the hard crusty French bread it came with. Limited menu though. But definitely will try again next time we are in the area!

We had the best service and food at Grumpys. Clean, plenty of parking, nice little menu. I had a very yummy BLT with cheese. Will somebody give the cook a kiss? It was delish!!! My wife had the grilled shrimp salad, and she loved it, too. Do not judge this book by its cover. Go have a nice lunch or something. Definitely good people own this very clean, respectable “grumpy” joint. I liked it.

This is a cute little neighborhood place with a 1950s rock ‘n’ roll vibe. The menu is pretty standard for the area – poboys, burgers, fish baskets etc.. Our waitress was smiley, friendly and efficient, but the cook needs to find a new career: It was a light, lunchtime crowd so there was absolutely no excuse to take a full hour to serve two manager’s specials (breaded chicken in a bun, with fries). By the end of the hour, our waitress was cringing with embarrassment. The food was ok, but not worth waiting an hour to eat. We won’t be back.

Great food. Quaint decor. Always a good choice for basic diner meals and sandwiches!

Anyone who lives near this place knows it well. Best poboys for 40 miles in all directions hands down. A lot of restaurants have come and gone in this parish but Grumpy’s has been around quietly making awesome food for decades. Plus they have awesome milkshakes

If I could give them zero Stars I would! This place is a hole-in-the-wall dump. Their parking lot is full of potholes. We drove 20 miles plus to get there, wanting somewhere new. They had their dine-in box checked on Google so we figure sure let’s go there and sit down and have a nice meal hahaha. We pulled up in their parking lot and get parked and there’s not one but two signs in the window saying that they are not doing dine-in, they’re only doing carry out. I sure wish that Google would have told me that instead of telling me that they were open for dine-in seating. I will never ever go back to this place simply because of the amount of time and mileage that we drove to go there and the look of the building from the outside.

We waited at an hour for tomato sauce out of a can with 2 meatballs for $12.95. The meatballs might have been made to order, but it doesn’t take that long to cook meatballs. Why not cook them ahead of time, freeze them, then heat them up when ordered with the tomato sauce. We were expecting homemade spaghetti sauce from a family restaurant.

Just had burgers from here today! They were delicious! Seems like our local fast food restaurants have

5 stars for service and food. 4 stars for the wait but definitely worth the time. Love everything I’ve tried so far; home-made food is always the best. Great Southern Hospitality!!
