New to the area we wanted to try this local spot and stopped for a late lunch on a Saturday. There was only one waitress working the house and the counter so the service was slow and inattentive. We had to ask for things multiple times, the table we sat at had not been cleared or cleaned (we ended up doing it for ourselves), we had to get up multiple times from the meal to physically go to the waitress for service.

Drove by the Grove Bistro after spending a beautiful day outside. We were seated immediately and the service was very good. I had a salad with a salmon filet (cooked perfectly) and my boyfriend had the meatloaf sandwich, which he enjoyed thoroughly. Then we decided to share a slice of flourless chocolate cake. What a great decision!! Everything was delicious and I will definitely return 🙂

First time here and we really enjoyed Grove Bistro. Everyone liked their meals and the place was cute. Very obviously a former bank, but a lot of nice touches to give it good ambiance.

Have only done take-out before this – and it was amazing; beautifully packaged. Today a friend and I dined – in and we sat at the bar. The Grove is so cozy and inviting; that nice friendly home-town feel. The waitress greeted us right away and brought over our menus. We ordered a salmon burger and a chicken sandwich. Both came out quickly, and were nicely plated, with just the right amount of french fries on the side. My salmon burger was delicious. We both decided we could spend a whole afternoon just sitting in there talking. This restaurant is a nice addition to all the great food choices in town.

Wow! Terrific service, wonderful meals, delightful live music on Delaware in the heart of Delmar. We greatly enjoyed the chef’s specials: a rich lobster-crab ravioli, and chicken breasts in a lemon butter sauce over angel hair. Look forward to a return visit.

The food was underwhelming (mine was undercooked and my friends’ lacked flavor—they skimped on the meat), the atmosphere was pretty dreary and lacked character, the wait staff was not very welcoming (one of the waitresses spent almost ten minutes in the bathroom fixing her hair while a customer waited to use the bathroom), and the kitchen was out of some products despite having a menu that takes up a page and a quarter. Portion sizes varied wildly depending on what dish you ordered. I left the restaurant still hungry despite having spent a decent amount of money. I wouldn’t recommend going here to eat. There are much nicer places less than a street away that serve better food at reasonable costs.

Lobster bisque, lobster bisque…this was amazing! Our entire meal was great! Staff is super friendly. A very cozy setting. Great kids menu and great activities to keep kids entertained while waiting for food. It was hopping on a Thursday evening!

Amazing experience. They organized a great Holiday brunch with Santa Claus. It was a nice buffet spread along with many crafts that kept the little kiddos entertained.

Nice bistro on Delaware Avenue. Menu had reasonable choices and some GF options also. Meal was good but plain. Service was good. Parking lot was still snow/ice 3 days after last snowstorm.

We had a very satisfying holiday party on a Sunday evening. The food, service and pricing were perfect for our party of 35 people. Honestly, couldn’t have been a more ideal occasion.
