It was a very nice place! I really enjoyed the environment and seeing pictures of my family’s home town New York, the pizza was okay. There was more sauce than food on my pizza and I paid for extra mozzarella and there was still. A lack of mozzarella. Overall the service was great I enjoyed being inside the only downfall was the pizza being really saucy. I order the Don and pepperoni 12′. The meatballs were yummy I ate them off the pizza. Would I return…not very likely.

Stumbled across them on Door Dash. Wow, all I can say is it’s amazing. I’ve orders countless pizzas and this is one of the best I’ve had in years. The crust is completely unique and fresh and the tomato sauce and veggies are super fresh. Also, the cheesecake is absolutely amazing. Melts in your mouth. Highly recommended!

My family had the opportunity to eat at the Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn over spring break and found out there was one in Kansas City, so we drove over and tried them out. The pizza was excellent, just like we remembered in NYC, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated in a similar fashion to the Brooklyn location including pictures of sites around NYC and Sinatra singing on the speakers. The bartender/waitress was fun and attentive and we appreciated her energy. We enjoyed our lunch so much, we ordered a second pizza to go! We will definitely be back!

Tried Grimaldi’s while in Prairie Fire. Great place to take the family. My kids enjoyed the complimentary pizza dough they give for kids to knead into crust. The picture of the pizza doesn’t do justice to how good the pizza was. I would suggest ordering any pizza that includes the meatballs because they were soooooo good.

I hate giving bad reviews, so I talked myself out of a 1 star and up to a 2 even though I should’ve been paid for this. Sometimes Google leads you astray with reviews, as was the case here. Fell right on its face. We asked what Martin City brews were on tap and were greeted with a roulette wheel of beer to our table, ok 1 beer but we just asked what was available not to pour whatever. The waitress was spread thin, she’s excused. There’s a bigger organizational problem at play here, maybe the owner should return from Mexico and observe the day to day. We waited 1 hour for the pizza, yes 1, 12” pizza, to be baked. There were only 3 other tables waiting, from my count. We were about to leave some cash and walk out the door when it finally arrived. After asking for it to be placed in a To Go box, we noticed the pizza was sliced by the homeless man down the street, bless his soul but I can’t eat half a pizza in one bite. Ugh. So we took it home and cut it ourselves. Actually, the amount of work we put into this pizza was worth at least 1 star, so I’ll take that back and leave this review with 1. Hope you stayed until the end and aren’t misled like we were! Papa Murphy’s is across the street, it’ll taste better and you’ll be happier.

️ Grimaldi’s Pizza shines as the nicest pizzeria in the Prairie Fire, Overland Park, and Leawood region. The ambience is beautiful, matched by their top-notch service and a well-maintained bar. When it comes to their pizzas, the flavors are rich and distinct, making them a well-known favorite in the area. Overall, Grimaldi’s offers a complete dining experience that marries great taste with an inviting atmosphere. ️

They overcook the crust a bit to avoid a soggy pizza, which shoots past a good NY style crust. It also doesn’t take on any flavor from the oven, which is too bad. The sauce is not fresh, but tastes of sour tomatoes and Italian seasoning. The toppings are decent.

I was heading to the hotel after working I pulled into a parking lot and started searching for restaurants nearby. Many good choices in the area so I narrowed it down to pizza. I didn’t call ahead, I drove over, walked in and was greeted by the hostess. She took my order and I took a seat to wait. I probably had 3 different people check on me more than once, always with a smile. Look, I walked in and ordered instead of calling ahead so I expected a little wait. I had never been there so I wanted to see a menu first as I was driving there based on reviews, didn’t have time to stop again and read it on my phone. I understood it more than they did, the staff was super friendly and apologized for the wait several times but I was definitely ok with it. I was kicking back watching them make pizzas and seeing the coals glowing in the pizza oven, in no hurry. Got back to the hotel and enjoyed a very nice thin crust pizza, topped off with a cannoli for dessert. Plan on returning on my next trip!

I wouldn’t order from this place again. I prefer pizza with a little more cheese. The bruschetta is $11 for 4 tiny slices of bread and some toppings in a cup. My food was fairly cold even though I received it within a reasonable time frame. The Greek salad was good.
