Thirty five years ago proprietor Daniel Greenblatt opened Greenleaf Restaurant to Southern Oregon locals. We are proud to announce that Greenleaf has turned a page and released a “Second Edition”. Located on Main Street and along Calle Guanajuato in Downtown Ashland our second edition was spearheaded by the local BFLM restauranteur group and paired with dishes by chef and kitchen consultant Corrie Matthews. Greenleaf’s second edition is about fun, casual dining and great cuisine with food that is a little hearty and a little healthy for everyone.

Today was definitely not the first time I’ve been here…they never fail to impress! Will 10/10 always go back. The rye bread was unfortunately a bit dry on my pesto veggie sandwich but that did NOT deter me from devouring the deliciousness that this sandwich was! And the kettle chips just wow!

Visited for lunch. Busy but seated upstairs/inside, close to bathroom’s. (Not the best spot but we were hungry. Staff was very nice and attentive. Wonderful curry chicken salad on wheat with surprisingly tasty salmon chowder. Lots of tasty veggies with nice bits of salmon. Paired well and washed down with a Pilsner (summer beer).

This is our second time at Greenleaf. We were hoping to eat your wonderful bowl of salmon chowder, which is excellent but the service was lacking. It took a couple minutes for the hostess to even recognize. We’ve been standing there for at least three minutes and then we were seated and given water in the front by the bar, and from that point forward, we did not receive any attention for the next 15 minutes with exception of the young man behind the bar saying I have to get some hot food and then I’ll be with you well after another five minutes, we saw them stare at us from the back, and then walk some other direction at which point we decided enough is enough And we decided to leave. This is unfortunate once again because your food is very good. Our recommendation is to have a manager owner on site to make sure that the staff are paying proper attention to the customers which appears to be the only issue with your restaurant.

On my recent trip to Ashland, I ate at Greenleaf twice. The first time they were super busy and no one came to check on us after they seated us. I had to find a waiter who assured me he would have my food in plenty of time to eat and run to the airport. He checked back with me a few times to be sure I had time but also offered me take out as an option (which on that day wold not have worked which I informed him.) He was able to serve our table in a timely manner but I did need to find him to expedite our meal.
