When in Portsmouth this a must stop for some fantastic vegetarian food. The restaurant has a wonderful laid back atmosphere with a great bar that serves great drinks and wine. The food is as beautiful as it’s tasty. All the ingredients are bursting with color and taste.

Upon entry, could tell it was a laid back place with an impressive array of food smells. Dumplings were exceptional, both stir fry entrees were excellent. We had to order zero for child sharing, I would not recommend that as you will miss some flavor

My favorite restaurant!!! The food is ALWAYS incredible. I’ve been here so many times and the food is consistently delicious and fresh. As someone with food sensitivities and specific dietary needs, I can eat quite a few dishes here and don’t have to worry about getting sick. We especially love the pad Thai, green curry, and peanut curry. The staff and manager are so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!

The best vegetarian restaurant around! From appetizers to main course to the fried banana dessert, we had the best meal. Excellent service- attentive but not rushed. Great atmosphere and we also enjoyed the mock tails.

We ordered a yummy mushroom tempura appetizer, and the hot tea was lovely. Unfortunately, the special that featured sesame tofu, veggies, and noodles was very bland. We were given a choice of heat between 0 and 4. I chose 1, and it had no heat and little flavor. My friend got a 2 on the heat scale, and she said she should have gone with 4. We both wished we had just ordered several appetizers to share. We were also in the back, near the bathroom, and while our waitress was very good, she did not check in often enough. This is not my first visit to Green Elephant, and I will be back despite this somewhat disappointing outing.

Everything from menu to atmosphere to bar selection to service was perfect! I am a vegetarian and I am always on the hunt for a place that is also enjoyable for carnivores, since I married one. Ended up taking my husband and my father in law who are both meat eaters. They were very skeptical walking in but we were to indulge me since it was my birthday. We waited for about 45 minutes to sit because they don’t offer reservations. Once seated we all ordered a couple drinks from their extensive bar and drink list.

We had delicious dumplings and I really liked my Pad Thai. It was cooked perfectly and had lots of veggies. The sauce was amazing. My husband enjoyed his Singapore noodles. The restaurant is very nice inside. Service was great. We would definitely comeback.

100x the ambiance and class than the Portland version. This is a good place to actually go for a date and offers nicely presented vegan cuisine and craft cocktails. No offense to the State Street place in Portland but the only thing they have in common is the name. I go here sometimes to sit for a quick cocktail before heading by foot to the 3D Artspace nearby for live music. There are hotels (expensive) next door and the location is perfectly close to downtown but not so much where it is busy and chaotic outside. Good menu and there is a real bar. After about 10 visits I have yet to get a spot at the bar because it is always so busy.
