I have been coming here since 2005 (usually exhausted, often painfully so, from working hard.) To explain my ratings: This is a counter-service, hole-in-the-wall, working-class establishment. Nothing is beautiful or particularly comfortable here, except the food, which is magical.

My coworker turned me onto this place. I usually get the chicken or beef lunch special. For $12 you get a great amount of chicken/beef, rice, beans, salad, and a can of soda. It always tastes fresh and they’re pretty quick with delivery.

Awesome burrito spot not far from 5th avenue. This place makes food that’s very authentic and rich in flavor. I ordered the carnitas, tongue and chorizo tacos. It was delicious! Well seasoned and cooked just right. The tacos are not small in size and expect to eat around 3 to get full. Even on a rainy night this hidden gem was packed. I’ll definitely be back to sample their other Mexican dishes.
