Small country diner near home. Food was pretty good, I had a grilled chicken wrap. Generous portion size. It was surprisingly quiet inside, despite being fairly busy. We only had to wait a minute or 2 to be seated.

We were vacationing at a campground nearby and looked online for places to eat. We wanted to try a local place. We decided to go to Gray Bills. What a mistake. We asked if we could sit at a table near the window so I could start my vehicle every 15 minutes to keep my dog cool. My vehicle was parked right outside. The young lady told us that they’re funny about where they sit people. Mind you they do not take reservations. No sooner did we sit down at our assigned table did a local couple walk in and were seated at the table we requested. We had several people (locals) come in after us (including the couple that was seated at the table we requested) and were served their food before us. When our food finally came we had to laugh. It looked and tasted like high school cafeteria food. My wife’s sweet potato was totally burnt (black). My fries were burnt. My burger bun was squished and looked like it came from a .99 cent supermarket hamburger bun package. The fried egg had brown greasy juice on it. If you’re not a local then you’re not going to be treated well and the food is subpar.

We decided to try the prime rib at Graybill’s tonight. I asked for medium and it was cooked more well done. It was dry and flavorless, not the tender, juicier cut that I enjoy in a prime rib. I won’t be getting it again. For the price we paid for my dish alone it was disappointing. If you want prime rib go to Hanover or reverse sear it yourself. Side note, the waitress was pleasant and the other

Delightful stop on Rt 30! The outside of the diner did not hint at the local eatery’s delicious homemade food. I had a Rachel sandwich when they didn’t have the Reuban corned beef. It was turkey with coleslaw, Swiss cheese, good dressing, on grilled rye bread. My husband had 1/2 waffle with chicken gravy. The gravy had a lot of chicken in it. This was not deli chicken. It was a mix of white and dark meat pulled from breast and thigh. The waitress said the whole waffle was huge. The half was perfect. We will definitely go back to Greybill’s Diner!

Loved every minute here, traditional mom and pop style diner off Route 30 in Abbotstown. Breakfast options fairly typical with the usual array of omelets and great to see someone that still does salted ham! Very clean and staff welcoming.

This is absolutely a hidden gem in Abbottstown. Every item is perfectly cooked by an under-rated chef. His food is addictive and makes me go back several times. This place should be on DD&D. The daily specials are PA dutch and made to perfection! This is a MUST STOP on any road trip or just your direct destination. There should never be an empty seat in this quaint diner with friendly staff and comfortably. This place is 100 out of 100! TRY IT! YOU’LL THANK ME AND THEM!
