Came by a Sunday mid afternoon. I came in for lunch they were out of a chicken entree ended up ordering the chicken sandwich which was ok. The French onion soup was delicious. Was pleased with the menu variety. Classy yet comfortable dinning area bathrooms smell of a bit of hard water not pleasant. Overall would visit again.

I loved the decor from this restaurant. The food was alright, nothing special. Price on the average.

Went into Mill Valley proper for two reasons, one and most importantly was to point and laugh at the local population and secondly was to drop off a 50 gallon barrel of Round-Up weed killer, and 200 gallon tank of Malathion to my old pal Tamale Joe right there on Blythdale ave so he could put the fear of God back into his neighborhood. We finished our unloading and had the stuff properly displayed for all to see and decided to have a couple of burgers to celebrate our Tomfoolery, and the Gravity Tavern was just the ticket.

The Gravity Tavern was a bit of a mixed bag, but overall I had to give it four stars. Their cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were fabulous. Our waiter offered a suggestion of a wine that fit our dish perfectly. The down sides? The food was not hot when it arrived at the table. The fried chicken just looked like a mess.

Excellent restaurant and bar with a chill atmosphere, and indoor and outdoor seating available. You can find vegetarian and gluten-free items on the menu as well as fresh, in-season dishes. Parking can be found in the lot toward the back of the restaurant or nearby.

Not sure what justifies the 3.9 rating but maybe it’s the fastidious clientele of Mill Valley. Judging this purely from the food, it was perfect. I really couldn’t believe this was the sister restaurant from the Beach Chalet from the other side of the bay. Whatever you do though, get a reservation! It was tough being a walk-in and having to hang out next to the hostesses in the front. Great experience!

We’ve been there twice. The first time we went, the drinks and food were great. Second time, drinks still great but the good was mediocre at best. Maybe it was just an off night. We’ll give it another try.

We only stopped in to get a taste of the place for an after dinner cocktail and ended up having a few delicious craft cocktails. The bar keep who was bar tending today served delicious drinks with fantastic knowledge of the menu. Definitely left wanting to come back to try the scallops and one of the bottled cocktails. The menu comes with wonderful stories of the trail work that represents Mill Valley and the history from Mount Tamalpais. The only thing we would change was the old fashioned being watered down after sitting in ice too long before being served.

the most plain Caesar salad I’ve ever had. The dressing has no flavor. There’s hardly any Parmesan, and it is the tiniest little piece of crouton that I’ve ever seen in my life.
