This place is great! This was actually my second visit to this place, originally I stopped by about 2-3 years ago, and it was amazing then also. I got the cousin Jack, and it was amazing. My friends the the pork one, and they loved it. This is only place I’ve ever had a pasty at, and it has certainly set the bar high. The bread on the pasty is so flaky and crispy. You can see the bakers making everything right behind the counter. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I am certainly coming back. It’s on the corner of the street, with a mine cart out front. It’s a cool little gem, that is definitely worth visiting.

As a Michigander, this was like a step back home. I grew up eating pastys. So delicious. My son and I stepped in here a couple weeks ago and both picked out a pasty. He chose the chicken with artichoke instead of mushroom and I got a pulled pork. Yum! Other than the small location that doesn’t easily accommodate sitting down, I give it a 5/5. Customer service was wonderful as well. Very down to earth friendly people. Will revisit!

This was my first visit here from Orange County. I couldn’t wait to get back today to my brothers house to taste this Pasty. I ate the entire thing. The meat and fresh ingredients in them were delicious. I tried another local Pasty restaurant but was not impressed, theirs had more dough then anything. I believe they use lard as well but the Grass Valley Pasty restaurant does not use lard. Definitely get more bang for your buck on this Pasty. I will spread the word on this restaurant. Before I leave, I’ll buy another dozen and take them back to Orange County. Thanks guys for taking the time to give me the history and enlighten me on how you make these with all the fresh ingredients.

Just felt good being there and leaving there. Wonderful conversation, friendly customer service. They let us try the Vegetarian version Pastie which was phenomenal! We will be back and I will be bring them a treat for treating us! Go get yourself a Pasty!!

Absolutely excellent. Visited with my in-laws from Korea. We ordered the pot-roast pasty. I was actually surprised that they liked it. I came back the next day and got the chicken and the puller pork. Another hit! Family went all in for the pasties. I’m hooked. Crust is top notch and all the ingredients are super flavorful. I took today’s order home and dipped a few bites into some siriracha sauce. Super good.

This place has the best pastie’s I’ve ever had. I Grew up in the Grass Valley area, so I’ve eaten pastie’s for decades. They use high quality ingredients and the employees are so friendly. You definitely must give this place a try. You will come back again and again as we have.
