Pretty disappointed with Granny’s. I wanted a burger with no bun and extra lettuce. I was willing to forgo the fries, but nope they couldn’t add extra veggies. Save your time and money head to Penny’s Pit they treat you right.

Wow! Way to get it all wrong! Old, ugly, boring, yuck. Menu has too much stuff with not enough flavor. Greasy, sickly, boring, with no taste. And that’s just the cook! Family owned, family ruined. packaged frozen refried crud. the worst stuff is the ‘homemade’ foods. The soups suck, the gravy sucks, the service sucks. They go through waitresses like candy because they treat people so great. Don’t try to substitute anything, it won’t happen. Don’t bother to ask for things to be cooked to you liking, they just won’t do it. Ask for anything special and you can listen to the cook literally throw a screaming hissy fit through the pass window. The guy’s a jerk. Lately it’s gone from bad to worse. SLOW, slow, service. Can I get some coffee…please? They lost half of the staff, and refuse to improve anything at all. The owners won’t put a dime back into the business to make anything better. Grannys’ used to have INCREDIBLE baked items, now it’s all boxed store bought crud. The only thing worth eating is the French fries. Yeah, their frozen restaurant supply fries, but they’re good. Leave the rest off my plate, please.

Granny’s is a local diner, not meant for a social experience. Us locals find the atmosphere and food comforting. If you are looking for a high class place stay in CDA. We enjoy it and appreciate what they have to offer.

If you like to be ignored, then please do not miss the opportunity presented here. Also, if you like waitresses that are lippy and uneducated, you will find a gold mine at Grannys Panties (typo intended). An attempt was made to discuss our visit with the manager, but he was just as tired and depressing as the frumpy frog décor of the establishment. In the past, I found this joint comfy, but now I can only compare it to a nude romp in stinging nettles. Be smart and stay away from this dilapidated excuse of a restaurant.
