I grew up in the church. I am a PK… Baby I stopped by Granny Dee’s after work today because I did not feel like cooking. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews. I said to my husband let’s try it anyway. We got the fish special and a slice of old fashion pound cake! All I can say is God was glorified!!! If I had ten thousand tongues I could not thank Granny Dee enough!!! The food was hot, fresh, and very good. Whew chile my feet almost got happy! I can’t speak on the previous bad reviews however it was well with my soul…. If you can trust God you can trust Granny Dee! God bless you granny! May everything you touch prosper..I know I am having fun in this review but I am oh so serious. I know good food when I taste it I come from a line of cooks. Its a straight up 5 out 5 for me!!!

Granny Dee’s was tasty. We had ox tails, black eyed peas, cornbread, cabbage and greens. Good atmosphere. Short wait – went Friday at 1 PM.

WORST FOOD EVER ! ! ! I’ve never had such unseasoned gravy, chicken wings, greens, or black eye peas. It was disgusting, like they seasoned it with water. Then the fish was thin and po built. The fish and shrimp was the only thing with season and it had too much. The peach cobbler taste like sweet bread and barley had peaches. They should’ve shut down during COVID, and I don’t know who granny she is, but keep her out the kitchen. 10/10 would not recommend ! ! ! If you want some good food go to D Ls Cajun Kitchen off Homestead.

OMG…the food is amazing!! smothered pork chops and oxtails which both come with rice and two sides. Great portion sizes, and the cornbread is like no other..I will definitely be returning! Thank you Granny Dee’s!!

My son and I decided to try Granny Dees in Spring Texas after reading great reviews online and in a local newspaper. We were not disappointed, the food reminded me of the good ole home cooking from both of my grandmothers. And, the portion sizes are generous and delicious! Highly recommend and a definite repeat for our family.

The peach cobbler was amazing , We got an Oxtail plate and the fish platter it was sooo good. the oxtails were cooked perfectly falling off the bone and just the right amount of spice. fish was super tender and breaded perfectly. Definitely will be back !

I order over $80 worth a food and was very disappointed. Lack of flavor the lack of food for a veggie plate.. mac is dry.. cabbage no flavor n hard.. yams was was ok but never again… all cornbread dry and just crumbled (not in moist way) idk for my first time ill never do it again… it pretty expensive for the amount of food you get but aye

I purchased the meatloaf plate with cabbage and Mac and cheese. The meatloaf was very very chewy. The rice and and gravy had a burnt taste which was nasty. The cabbage was not seasoned none. Only thing I got that was good was the Yams. I was not happy with this food at all, I’m glad i only paid what I paid, I will not be returning here. Better cooks please… was not good
