Big fan of this establishment, it’s absolutely delicious!! Food is freshly cooked. They offered for us to call ahead anytime we are coming in so there is no wait, although we only waited 10-15min once we placed our order. My wife and I split 4 tenders and each had a fried corn as a side and were both pleasantly filled. The breading was perfect and the tenders were so juicy. The corn had an amazing flavor as well. Will definitely be a go-to local favorite of ours.

Avoid the “B” chains and support an authentic local eatery. Great hit chicken. The fried corn on the cob is unbelievable. Fun and friendly staff and owner. We chatted our entire meal. Worth the drive to Old Hickory.

First time here and it won’t be the last. Kind ppl and delicious, fresh food. Fried pickled okra was a treat. Medium spice level was the perfect balance of flavor and heat. Greens were tender and well seasoned.

What can I say, I came in spontaneously and came out satisfied! Grandaddy himself came out to chat with me while I waited. The hit chicken is no joke! Delicious and worth going out of your way for. Also..fried corn was awesome.

We went here today for lunch with my Mom. We were warmly welcomed the moment we walked in the door. Very nice people and excellent fresh hot food! I love a family run business. My mother had the chicken salad (said it was delicious) and my husband had the fried corn on the cob and a chicken sandwich with the heat level being one away from the hottest. He said it was very good. He also got one large tender at the highest level of heat. He said it was good, but preferred the chicken sandwich level. I tried a chicken tender with no heat and it was cooked perfectly! We’re so glad we found this place and will definitely be returning soon.

Omg!!! The corn. Try the fried corn you will not regret it. The chicken is amazing too. Full of flavor and so crispy. The lady helping us with our order was very nice. Small establishment so you might need to wait for a table but the chicken is made fresh so you will still have to wait.

Incredibly friendly order taker and chef and owner. He talked to me the whole time I was waiting and talked to me about the history of hot chicken in Nashville which was fascinating. The food was also amazing. Had the half chicken and fries.

Surprised by the reviews — chicken needs more time in the brine. The only flavor is on the outside — needs more flavor inside; ordered crinkled cut fries. Came home and saw match stick fries… why was this not communicated ahead of time? I did not want frozen, small batch of match stick fries

The flavor is very unique, it’s different from most other Hot Chicken. The collard greens were absolutely the best I’ve EVER had! The owners are extremely friendly and passionate about what they do. Really great people. Definitely will be back to try their Kabob that apparently has a pickle in every bite. Sounds great.
