This restaurant was previously Bea McNally’s and Charlie Brown’s. My friend and I enjoyed our meals here, especially the crab cake appetizer! Wishing them success

Went here reluctantly after a poor experience at the previous restaurant that was in this location. We were very pleasantly surprised. We were welcomed by a friendly bartender, greeted by a very attentive waitress and enjoyed a delish meal. All 6 of us enjoyed our entrees and appetizers. Found the cost to be very reasonable. Appreciated a visit from the manager at the end of the meal to ensure we enjoyed everything. It was exciting to see the building brought back to life with restaurant customers and cars in the parking lot. Will definitely be back! Well done!

My mom & I have already been a couple of times since the open. The food is much better than Bea’s. We enjoyed our meal every time. Fish & chips, rib eye steak, Cesar wedge salad with shrimp yummy! We hear a talented young chef is in the kitchen. We will definitely be back

We went during the soft opening and the servers need a little more training but again it is during the soft opening. However, the food was above excellent and the chef stopped at our table and her positive attitude and friendliness was superior. We would highly recommend eating there. The food was beyond delicious.

Ordered 2 sandwiches with a friend for lunch and we asked for them to be cut in half so we could share. Sandwiches came out, we mention this to the manager who brought the food out and he quickly picked them back up and took them to the kitchen to be cut. Another server brought the food to us and set everything on the table. I looked at my friend’s sandwich and commented that wasn’t what she ordered. The manager came back, swooped up her plate and then brought the correct sandwich. No big deal right? Well they went and served the cut sandwich that had been placed on our table twice to the correct customer. That’s simply unacceptable. You don’t serve food that hit the table to someone else. It makes you question what other rules they ignore. The menu is okay. The decor is still Bea McNally’s. The sign still is in the bar. The cobwebs on the windowsill looked like they had been there since it was Beas as well. Our waitress was lovely, the food was average pub food.

Under new Management, and new staff. They are rebuilding and in a good way. Jason, (head of operations) Esteban (Head mixologist) are very personable. Laura (one of the bartenders) makes Great Drinks. The New Chef is passionate about his menu which is always a good thing. As for the rest of the staff they were very friendly and helpful. So if not just for there efforts they get 5 stars from me. The Grand Avenue Tavern is on there way up ! Keep up the good work guys. ( proud local ) Edwin

My family was looking forward to the opening of the new grand avenue tavern….we were told we would be seated soon by a hostess who smelled of old cigarette smoke. Very off-putting…her hair was in her eyes while we spoke to her…we really were quite surprised at her appearance and attitude, as this was the opening of the restaurant we loved when it was the old bea mcnallys .when finally seated we waited for our meals. The portions were small and rather bland…Don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon…Hopefully the front of the house becomes a little more welcoming as time goes by…Read the owners statements on face-book and was surprised he mentioned that he was considering pulling out of the restaurant….Maybe he should have!

Fiancé and I went Saturday night to get out of the house. We sat at the bar and just had a few drinks and apps. The bartenders were on top of their game. I think his name was Christian, he was on the service bar going crazy making drinks for the servers and still made sure we were taken care of. The other two bartenders were friendly and made conversation with us. Glad this place opened backed up. We got the nachos. First time I’ve had nachos in years. We were not disappointed! Huge portion! We are excited to come back and try a full dinner menu! Give those bartenders a high five for me managers!
