I found this place by accident and I love it. The guy that works the register up front (I’m assuming the owner) is a really nice guy that works hard all the time. The lunch special fish sandwich is a great deal and the fish is cooked very well. It’s seasoned well and he includes hot sauce and tartar sauce if you need it. It takes about 15 minutes to get your order, but that’s because it is cooked to order and worth the wait!! I eat here every chance I get. I can vouch for the catfish and whiting.

This is a hidden gem!! I’m so glad I came across this place. The food is AMAZING!! I got the catfish sandwich for lunch and it was perfect! Well seasoned, super hot and fresh, the portion was huge for only $5.99 and that came with a whole bunch of fries. I received the best service from the lady at the front and she added some mild sauce for me to try and it was so good! I liked it so much the next day I went back and got it again. I can’t wait to try their whole menu!

The most rudest unprofessional place I’ve ordered from in Lavergne. I will not support this business and will not recommend this place to anyone that visits. I love supporting small business but I have never experienced such a rude owner. A small misunderstanding that could have been fixed. Easily. He didn’t want to deal with anything. He didn’t bother communicating with me. He just just hung up in my face and canceled my order. Unprofessional and rude is the lowest I could say. I could mention the old grease he repeatedly uses But I’m not going that far. I dont recommend this place.

Y’all, the hot chicken wings are simply amazing! It’s this lightly breaded crust with this flavor that hits your mouth as soon you take a bite! Not too mild, not too hot, just perfect and that taste is unmatched for me! I recommend you try them out !

Had Gowdy’s for the first time today. Let me tell you. HANDS DOWN BEST FISH and CHICKEN in and around NASHVILLE area. Honey hot was amazing, Chicken seasoned, fish fried hard, good size wings, etc. I don’t eat many fries but I smashed these. Took 24 mins to cook but WELL WORTH the wait. I have no plans to eat fish or chicken from anywhere else.

Ordered something specific for lunch at work and since they ran out of chicken thighs they decided to give me a leg instead without my permission, told me to contact door dash even though I know that door dash would not give me a refund due to so many restaurants messing up my orders in the past . The right solution is to refund that 2 me and take ur leg back , they have a cash register full of money right there but act like they can’t refund me . I even ordered some more fries and a drink in the store and they could have offered the drink or fries for free or discounted or something to make up for their mistake . I don’t like when people make decisions about my food if I wanted a leg I would have ordered a leg , unprofessional . Sad part is I work a mile away and would have ordered lunch from here many more times and have spent money here previously. Also my wife was just planning on ordering dinner for our family of 6 from here tonight but they won’t be getting business from me anymore due to this .
