Authentic Chinese food! We stopped here on our way to Gatlinburg! It’s the savory kind of food after a long road trip. Real spicy noodle. My husband and I ordered one cold dish plus Noodle plus three main dishes. We love them all. We saw many pickup orders while we were dining in.

Trust my review, I’m Asian and just moved here not long ago so my taste buds are still legit. This is the only place you will ever get a close-to-Mainland-China food. You will never get the usual taste you find at normal Chinese-American restaurants.

I eat here almost everyday! It truly is the best Chinese food around. If there are any doubts, then you must try this amazing food now! They have great service and all menu items are a 10. Thanks to to staff!!!

This is the only place we’ll get Chinese food in the area. The food is flavorful! No tasteless beef and broccoli or mild “spicy” food. The Orange Chicken has actual orange rind which is like a sweet surprise in every bite. Small but very nice dining room for those who prefer to eat in, but they do takeout well.

Went to try the new Gourmet China today. It’s not the same menu as Captain Chen’s but it’s got some really good dishes. We tried three dishes – Sichuan diced chicken in spicy sauce, double cooked pork belly and Sichuan noodles. I was so happy that each dish was really good. And the food was actually spicy. I LOVE spicy food. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. The young man that was our waiter did a good job asking if we needed anything and made sure we had refills on drinks.

Real authentic “classic” main land Chinese food. This is probably one of the most culturally authentic restaurants in the area. You will NOT FIND fried rice, egg rolls or sweet and sour chicken or anything close to what you would find on a buffet or Chinese take out. You wont even find sticky rice, dumplings or hot sour soup but you will find classic egg drop soup! This is classic Chinese food using tripe, bone in chicken and beef bone. I was thrilled to find pickled radish in the soup and found the chicken in red pepper sauce to be spicey but not hot. The tripe was flavorful and soup delicate with soft flavor and seasoning. And the steamed rice was the best prepared rice I have ever had but note, you have to ask for it as a side. Calling all foodies and adventure eaters!!!

Forgot how much we loved this place! It’s all good. Go for the traditional dishes for a real treat. So well done.

Very dissatisfied. Take out order did not have egg rolls as ordered. Front staff were very cold. Beef in one entree was fatty, chewy, and blonde colored. Very concerning. Our second time there, and the first time was not good either. Always believe in giving a second chance, but this was our last time. Golden Dragon is far better, and a better value.

I ordered 30 minutes before I arrived and the food was ready when I got there. Had to drive another 30 minutes to get home before I could try it and everything was still hot. Also delicious. Definitely want to go back!
