Great coffee! Great pastry the pecan crumble is a fantasy (run it thru the toaster by the water dispenser) this is another must stop along with the ice cream shop across the street. Both are old fashioned saloon style eatery with high ceilings. This is a great stop on the way to and from the forest. Our group hit this every time we pass through Jacksonville. The near by shops and historic buildings are part of the national registry of historic landmarks.

Favorite coffee spot in Oregon. Best bagels, too. 7 years since I’ve been here and just as cozy as ever.

This place has a home like feel to me. It’s located in the historic town of Jacksonville. I like to imagine the history of the building as I enjoy my coffee and pastries. It may be just me but I find it really enjoyable when it’s a rainy day to just sit back and look out the windows and watch the rain fall. This is a great place to go by yourself or with friends. Its a good place to start a walking tour of the town and it’s meny quaint shops.

Cute little rustic coffee shop, perfect place to edit some photos or catch up on emails. Coffee is really good and so are the bagels. Slightly overpriced food, but always a good time at good bean in Jacksonville. DO NOT go to the location in east Medford unless you want a sodexo option.

The environment is so cozy and industrial. The bagels are so yummy. Coffee is served in a mug unless to-go. Great place to go on a date, bring a board game and drink coffee on a rainy day ❤️

For twenty years now, every time I’m back in town, I make it to “the Bean” to enjoy the best cafe in Southern Oregon. Now that we’ve returned home full-time, I’m here most days of the week. It’s my “other home and office”.

Went here because of the reviews and lonely planet recommendation but we found this place rather disappointing. The coffees were very average, breakfast wasn’t great as it felt like a DIY meal. My partner had to toast the bagel himself (?), as well as smear and season his meal. Location is obviously great though and the building is beautiful.

Cool small town coffee shop. Ridiculous hot cocoa for kids. Even a secret spot with hidden messages.

If you love strong coffee this is your place. Great service. Really good desserts- tried this Oreo bar and coconut thing was delicious. Nice area to sit and work if you needed too plenty of space.

This is a fine place with a cool atmosphere but wow the “food” we had was bland as ever. I never had such a horrid avocado toast, the pesto wrap left lots to be desired as well… idk if these are just untrained teenagers or some people just don’t like quality food so they think it’s normal? I get it’s not a restaurant but if you’re going to serve food, you can at least try to make it edible instead of gas station food. Regular coffee and ok service.
