We are so glad to have Gonza’s in Wake Forest! We got to sit outside with my puppy, and the team members and restaurant manager made sure we were comfortable and warm on a chilly spring evening. We had the steak quesadilla with pico de gallo, black beans and avocado, and also the Carne Tacos. The team member who served us, Vivian, is very kind and provided an excellent experience! We enjoyed everything, and we’ll absolutely be back.

The service was wonderful! It was very busy but the waitress kept checking on us and the hostess sat us earlier than our reservation. The decor and atmosphere is great. The guacamole tasted very fresh. My fiancee ordered the salmon and she really enjoyed it.

Our group of four adults and two dogs enjoyed the food in their outdoor tables. The chips were crisp and tasted fresh (not oily). The red salsa was well flavored and the additional order of guacamole was delicious. The Shrimp and Pastor tacos both were excellent. Would return.

Great food, poor wait service, beautiful decor and ambiance. I REALLY want them to improve their wait service, because then I could justify coming here on a more routine basis – and recommend it to others.

The service was wonderful as well as the decor. It’s a great spot for a date night. I had the Mexican flag which was great! This location desperately needs some updates, though. The menu was all kinds of messed up. I initially wanted the tilapia which they discontinued but kept on the menu. Then I wanted the pescado tacos and the server had to re explain the whole dish because they had altered it but not gotten new menus printed. I thanked her for the detailed description but decided I didn’t want it with the updated recipe. Then when I asked for the coconut rice to add to my meal as a side, THEY HAD DISCONTINUED THAT TOO. I was confused and felt sorry for the server. Also the table cloths were a shredded mess and half the tables were broken down. Great people, good food, and a huge need for some restaurant updates. The prices aren’t cheap at Gonza, so the experience should reflect the dollar signs.

This is the second time we tried this location. First time we came it was right after this location opened. The food was not as good as the original location. The food is now just as good. We really enjoyed our meal. It was very busy on the night we went. Even though they are still on modified hrs and short staffed, the service was excellent and the food was good.

Best Mexican style food I have had in a long time. Had the Lako Taco, Fajita, and quesadillas. Very good! The tortilla soup wasn’t so great and that might be because I don’t like avocado so you might like it Ended with churros for dessert. All the food came out hot and tasty. The decor is “to die for” The customer service was excellent. Everyone besides our waitress( Thank you Jordan ) was checking in on us and everyone else. True teamwork. I danced the entire time I was eating New to the area and I think we found a new favorite spot. Will definitely come back to dine in again.

Kind of overpriced for what we got. We went on a Friday around happy hour and service was pretty slow. The food was very good but the portions weren’t really worth the price.

Very friendly employees and service times was extremely fast. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Gonna used to be my wife and I’s favorite place to go out to eat, and we even had them cater our wedding rehearsal. More recently we have noticed there has been a decline in the quality of food as well as an increase in price. The last time we went I got the chilaquiles which were alright but nothing to go on about and my wife got shrimp tacos. When she got them they were cold and darn near flavorless which is disappointing because they were $17, the most expensive thing we got. The cheese dip we ordered was also cold as well and had increased in price. We also got margaritas, my wife got a strawberry one which tasted mostly like tequila and I got a spicy one which mostly tasted like syrup. I do have to say their toasted coconut flan has never let me down and has been phenomenal every time I get it. The staff was friendly but the food was lousy and expensive. I may give it another go in the distant future but as of right now I have been disappointed the last few times I’ve gone.
