I used to go to a smaller Chinese restaurant down the street in Castle Shannon, but recently, they have made the portions smaller and smaller. I decided to try Golden Wok Inn because of their high reputation and I am so glad I did!

I won’t be returning. The hot and sour soup was the worst I’ve ever had because it had no flavor and clumps of gelatin. The portion size was so small for the price. We got takeout and we were planning on having a picnic. We weren’t given any plastic wear or napkins. Very disappointed because we used to enjoy it years ago. They have changed totally.

We get take-out every other week, we love the food so much! We regularly order extra food just to have leftovers another day. The Spring Rolls are a must try.

Despite some of the negative comments, I got the general tso’s chicken and it was some of the best I had. The chicken was hot, and it pulled right apart with some crisp too it. The noodles were alright (the reason for only 4 stars) but other than that it was a good experience and I would come back.

The Dragon Phoenix is very good and so is the pepper steak with fried rice. The egg rolls are delicious too and the closest we could find to Lotus Garden. Thank you for our tasty dinner!!

Food is OK. Interior is kind of depressing (bad lighting, color scheme is way off, no fish in fish tanks), but at least it’s clean. The owner is nice and helpful.
