We sat down and had drink orders taken and menus presented within about 2 minutes. Our server, Shellie, gave us enough time to figure out what we were ordering (4 kids and 2 adults) without feeling rushed or like we were waiting too long. She was timely with everything and friendly. My reuben was great. 3 of my kids had chocolate chip pancakes that were “the best ever,” and my other kid loved his chicken nuggets and fries. The final dish was a delicious and huge all beef hot dog for grandma. Overall we were happy with our food and experience. This place is great because it’s a no frills, simple family restaurant.

Hubby and I have been coming here regularly for about 4 months or so. At first it was good, fresh food, good service. It has steadily gone down hill over the last two months. I was excited for my friend to try it, only to find brown, limp lettuce at the salad bar. We asked for fresh, the woman instructed another woman to freshen it up. She mixed in the fresh with the old! Then the other tried to pick the yucky stuff out. Gross. Thought it was a one time deal but next experience, the city chicken was dry as cardboard! One last try today, the spaghetti was horrible. Sauce is like water, “meatballs” nothing but bread crumbs. Salad bar plates are gone, we asked, now, one trip with a soup bowl. Sadly, we’ve decided not to return.

Ordered chicken parm dinner through uber eats. App did not give me an option to pick a salad dressing or a soup even though it says it comes with it. Also said it comes with garlic bread. I got a 2 day old roll. The restaurant did not bother to let me know this while preparing my order or even tell the driver so he can get in contact with me about it. The presentation was horrible! They placed a piece of wax paper on top of the melted cheese to put the parm cheese and bread on top. Needless to say cheese came off when I lifted the paper. The sauce was burnt red and did not look or taste homemade. The chicken was grilled, and dry and tough with no breading on it. Never had a chicken parm piece without breading. I called to ask about the soup and salad. Person on the other end was not apologetic and was rude. Needless to say I will not be ordering from them again!

The breakfast was delicious. However, my mom ordered the $6.99 breakfast burrito which was advertised to *include* 3 fillings (the menu literally says “choose 3”) but we’re charged an additional $1 per filling so what was supposed to be a $6.99 burrito was now $9.99. The staff didn’t seem to think there was a problem with that, and took $2 off of our bill- only because we complained.

This restaurant has the worst roach infestation I have ever seen in my life. Servers are told to discreetly kill them in front of guest. The entire server section is crawling with them in various stages of development. They are sited in every part of the restaurant. I worked there for two days and was told they had just sprayed. This is not the case and I ethically could not serve food made and put on containmenated plates. So I decided not to work there and report it to the health department. They are now refusing me compensation for the two shifts I worked 12 hours total. I was told ” you don’t get paid for training” this was not mentioned on hire as I would never work without compensation. This is allegedly a civil issue and will cost me more then the $90 dollars I am owed to file This is sloppy and poor business practice from two owners who also jeopardize there guest health and safety with I’m not exaggerating the biggest roach infestation I have seen in 24 years of food service. It is a holiday so I must wait to contact the labor department. But I felt this business is due the same courtesy they afford me. Thank you stay safe Eastlake!
