It’s finally here. I have been walking pass this new start up restaurant for sometime now. Today is the first day of the soft lunch and I wanted to be a part of it. The setting is beautiful with bright colors and a high definition video wall featuring live action waterfalls and hot food being prepared on screen. It even has digital aquarium along with the traditional live Fish tank at the entrance of the door. The servers were very helpful and attentive one even gave my dog some water. The food is delicious so fresh and tasty. On this first night of the soft launch several people came out to support this new addition to our Rosemead neighborhood. There is a crowd of various ethnicities. Based on today I can highly recommend this restaurant for a return visit. Come by and visit Rosemead and the Golden Delight restaurant our new stable.

Really wanted to try their stone pot pho….BUT if you get there AFTER 730 PM it’s not available. Apparently, what I was told was that Vietnamese dishes were no longer being cooked or available after 730 since certain cooks clock out. The only available dishes are on a separate menu. I ordered from the non Vietnamese menu. Most dishes ordered were very disappointing.

This shop is very careless of hygiene. I was eating when I looked up and saw that a fly had landed on my food. I understood that this sometimes happens in the summer, so I put the dirty food on another plate. But as I continued to eat the rest of my food, another fly landed on the rest of my food. This made it completely impossible for me to eat the rest of my food, and the waiter apparently noticed the flies hovering around my food as he tried to shoo them away with his hands. All in all, I can’t accept this kind of dining environment, flies are too unsanitary.

Golden delight was a delightful treat. Came here with my family on a Saturday night as I was visiting the San Gabriel Valley area to celebrate an early birthday. My parents suggested Golden Delight because it has both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines. Think of a restaurant that pho and also Chinese lobster noodles. These combinations are very rare.

Not too bad BUT….I got to mention that individually, the dishes I’ve had was better elsewhere. It’s not bad but it’s just not the best that I’ve had. It’s convenient to have them all in one spot however. The service is lighting quick as well.
