I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here. I’ve had a lot of Springfield style Chinese food and this is some of the best I’ve had. Free Egg Drop soup with my Sweet and Sour Chicken Meal that came with an egg roll and crab rangoon. Chicken was fresh and crispy and the SS Sauce was good with chunks of pineapple. The egg roll was nice and crispy and the crab rangoon had good flavor. I also enjoyed the soup. I will be back.

The food was hot and fresh, not to mention reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly. They offer a complimentary soup bar with entree purchase, which is a nice added touch and is something I don’t believe any other Chinese restaurant in town (excluding buffets) offers.

Such friendly service! Prices are fair, food is very tasty, and my kids were SO excited to know they got the soup bar with their food! Cashew chicken is light and crispy. I’ve had better egg drop soup, but it wasn’t bad by any means. Everyone is so friendly and helpful!

My son and I love coming here and today was no different except that I couldn’t afford our usual. I went to pay for our cashew chicken and potstickers and my card was declined because I was $2 short. I removed the potstickers and we sat down and got our cashew chicken. The man working (I think he may be the owner but I’m not sure) brought over potstickers, smiled and walked away. Life has been very rough for our family lately and this man has no idea what that meant to my son and me. My son ate every single one and was ecstatic. Thank you so much, whoever you are. No wonder we come here as often as we can afford to. Thank you thank you thank you for the delicious food every time and for your kindness!! PS. The picture is after my son devoured most of the food

Tried Golden Cuisine for the first time last night and it was great! We ordered the sesame chicken, cashew chicken, general chicken, an egg roll, and crab rangoon. Everything was delicious. The portion sizes for the price were very fair as well.

Had a pleasant dinner here, one of 3 places in Springfield that doesn’t load up their general chicken with sugar! Prices were reasonable, prices and food quality were good, we’ll need back next time we go to Hy-Vee. I originally rated it 4 stars based on the food, but I raised it to 5 after thinking about the staff, and how welcomed we felt.

I was honestly scared to try another Chinese restaurant because every Chinese restaurant I’ve been to was extremely nasty and the food was disgusting and the people and the cleanness was so bad that I made up my mind not to go eat Chinese food ever again. I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried it and the staff was very friendly and very nice and the food was prepared well and flavorful and had everything that it was supposed to have in it.
