Very few restaurants in San Antonio were open on Thanksgiving 2022 besides hotel buffets. Even one popular restaurant on a Google search claiming to be open on Thanksgiving was not, which I verified twice. (I think a previous Thanksgiving 2021 review remained on their website. Be sure to call to verify any holiday opening.)

Every time we go to eat the manager comes to greet us and ask how we are doing and to see if we need anything to let him know. The waitress is always very attentive and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone .

I’ll admit I haven’t been to a Golden Corral in over a decade, and I’m not much of one for buffets in general anymore, but I have to say, they’ve come a long way. My family & I decided to do Mother’s Day breakfast here, and everything was absolutely spot-on. Food was excellent, drinks were kept topped up, and staff was incredibly friendly on arguably one of their busiest days. Granted, you don’t go to Golden Corral because the decor is nice; it’s a buffet, you want a feast on a budget. That said, the place was clean & well kept, and everything was in general absolutely pleasant. An excellent buffet experience, I would definitely recommend this particular Golden Corral if you’re aiming for a buffet.

It was terrible. Very few selections of food. The food was cold ,gummy,mixed with other food . Waitress was unattainable. The room was super cold . The staff in general seemed to be bothered if you asked them for anything, even a fork. For the money, it’s not worth it. Considering there is a better golden coral just up the road on 1604. But to tell you the truth, I would drive all the way to the Golden Coral in New Braunfels before eating here again. To the managers on duty, you should really pay more attention to everything around you instead of doing your cooks job. I think he was cooking the steak just fine. Everything else was falling apart, especially the salad and sweets section. To that same micromanaging manager, you can not cook. You burned the chicken you were cooking and didn’t toast the sausage I asked you to toast.

In my opinion only, the selection of food was limited. Compared to other restaurants in different cities. I’m used to our hometown location. Our service lady was super quick at making sure we had all that we needed. I felt for it being so busy they needed more staff to keep the floors clean. Kids are running around bumping into adults. Screaming for one more snack. It’s the last days of summer, what can you expect!? Overall it was ok.

I missed Golden Coral, where I live! So when I found this one, we definitely went. The food was great! I love having a variety, AND it is a buffet! Only one issue, not affecting my rating, is that I wish they had more kid friendly foods. However, I would definitely recommend and will return again!
