The food is ALWAYS amazing here. The small staff they have are always on point and make sure that EVERYTHING is perfect from the food to making sure your drink is kept full. The Sushi was a HUGE Surprise and the CRAVE ROLL is simply amazing. The Egg Rolls are always cooked to order and very consistent. The place is alway clean. If you are looking for the perfect place to get away with a HUGE Surprise in quality, taste and food served fast, then go check out GOLDEN CITY.

The food was okay. I ordered hibachi chicken. I don’t know if I was given the wrong dish or something, but the flavor wasn’t like anything I expected or hoped for. It is covered in pepper. The sauce the chicken is in is really watery. What looks to be “yum” sauce is also very watery and not tasty to me. It’s also a bit sweet. Not to my liking, and I spent $15 on it.

This is our go to Asian food place! We have tried all of the Chinese restaurants around the Alabaster, Helena, Pelham, Hoover area and this is by far one of the best. Typically, we have ordered takeout here, but today we dined in. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and sweet. Service was fast.

Went here recently and was impressed. Did not expect the small wonton things they brought out before the food and they tasted great with the sauce! Ordered a simple hibachi chicken with fried rice dinner and it was awesome. Will definitely be back to try their sushi and other items.

The food was delicious! It was very clean and the staffs hospitality is excellent! I got the lunch chicken hibachi, California rolls, a salad, and they gave Mizo soup on the house bc I’d never tried it and was unsure! Great place! Def will be back w my kids next time

My wife and i decided to try this restaurant because we always drive by it and wanted to see how it compares to “Mr.Lins” in Helena. The portions were awful but the prices were high. I was barely able to feed my family (of 4) i ordered a house lo mei , house fried rice and an order of mangolian delight. The mangolian delight had more sauce and onion than anything. The rice and lo mei was barely enough to complete all of our plates. The price ? Outrages for the portions and to add insult to injury, when I arrive home THEY MISSED OUR EGG ROLE. Obviously we called the restaurant cause we were upset and i know it’s just an egg role but cmon apart from the horrible portions and pricing we were fed up. You’re better off getting Mr.Lins in Helena as they charge you about the same but their portions and quality are actually enough to feed an entire family AND have left overs. Again this was our first time ever and i Can safely say im sticking with LINS

Totally didn’t know what to expect when visiting Golden City for the first time recently; but wow was I incredibly impressed with it. The food isn’t surprising for the most part (don’t get me wrong, it’s delicious – just nothing out of the ordinary for typical, non-upscale Chinese cuisine), but the genuine and amazingly-polite service is absolutely top-notch – I honestly felt like I was eating at my mom’s home, or someone’s Southern grandmother’s. We couldn’t have had a more welcoming dining experience (which was especially impressive considering it was a late Tuesday evening).

Good food. Rude Service. The little boy does not have any manners. The mom working is kind of rude and rushes you while you are trying to eat and order. The place was almost empty so I don’t know what the big hurry was . Disappointing service. Good food. The younger girl who works is really nice…the mom and son are not.

Literally the BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had. Best, crispiest egg rolls too. You can tell all the ingredients are super fresh. Our sesame chicken was ALL white meat and so was the chicken lo mein. The flavors are amazing and you can tell a lot of care and goes into the preparation of the food and ingredients. This place has ruined all other Chinese restaurants for me. We can’t wait to eat there again!
