The staff was short handed which made order delivery very slow for the load of customers on a Sunday evening which is a busy night. The soft serve machine was not in operation which is always a reason to choose Golden Chick. Food was good…. But they need to work on getting the operation performing a little better.

Good chicken and the rolls are the best anywhere. On Sundays it always takes a while to get the food because they are so busy. Once they brought rolls out to those waiting for their food, which was really nice.

Ordered take out. Got home and didn’t have complete order drove all the way back. Waited 15 minutes for them to make mash potatoes, while rest of my food was getting cold. They never said we are sorry just handed me the potatoes. Thought that was rude. If they would of checked order in first place would have been 4 stars. But…

(Updated from original review of 2 stars at new location) We visited on July20 and the drive thru was a wait… but friendly and our order was correct this time. As a result, I upgraded them from previously 2 stars to 4 stars. The photos i attached are both a six pc chicken tenders to reflect the improvements and the difference.

I’ve always enjoyed the food at Mineola golden chicken. I just wish that I could order on the app. I could when ya’ll first moved to the new location; but for some reason, I no longer can. The app now shows the old address and doesn’t let you order. If you push the website button on this Google search for your location; it won’t open. Would be really nice if ya’ll would get that fixed.

Chicken was horrible. It tasted like they took the roasted and battered and fried it. Mashed potatoes were watery and the green beans tasted like imitation smoke flavoring.

So chicken breast overcooked and dry, cold okra. Young Mexican girl that works here had her kids at work, while she’s trying to work. They were screaming, blasting videos, and crying. Saw other people looking at them and mumbling. Even employees asked her to do something, so she gave them cookies. Not a good scene.

The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. However, I found their food to be a little bland. I ordered chicken livers, mashed potatoes, and okra. This meal came with a roll, which was the best part. I probably wouldn’t go back unless there is nothing else around.

Would be much better if the greaseoil being used didn’t give the chicken a weird taste. Pay a little more to get a better greaseoil and it will be a game changer.
