Food not that good but expensive. Bad Service too.

Diner reservations highly recomended. We made a reservation got to the resturanut, and was greeted and seated immediately. Waiter came by and offered some recomendations that we ordered. The food is fantastic, they have a great wine selection and well what can I say if I could give 7 or 8 stars I would, Fantastic all around. What a great experience.

I got the steak. It was very filling, flavorful, and delicious. The bf ordered chickpeas, some ground beef pasta and the chocolate desert. The taste was on point. Would love to go back!

Fresh. Local. Italian. These people know what they’re doing. The freshest local ingredients, turned into expert Italian food. Everything here is delicious. I recommend the spicy seafood spaghetti, but I’ve never had anything here that was less than delicious.

While this used to be my favorite restaurant in Durham, based on the terrible experience the last 2 times I visited I sadly will not be returning. Both times we weren’t able to order until an hour after we were seated because the service was so slow. The food is good, but it’s way more expensive than it used to be and they don’t serve enough food for the price; I was so hungry when I left! Was $140 for 2 glasses of wine, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. Unacceptable!!!

As a longtime resident of the Triangle area, I always recommend Gocciolina to my clients when they are looking for a great Italian restaurant. The popular spot offers house-made pastas, homemade bread, mouth-watering appetizers (don’t forget to try the anti-pasti), and delicious desserts such as chocolate almond torte and tiramisu cannoli. The ambiance is amazing, they offer indoor or outdoor seating, and the servers are always knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. The Italian eatery is a great place to celebrate an anniversary, a special day, or just to get a great meal.

Absolutely amazing on all fronts! The specials were amazing, the cocktails mixed to perfection, the wine selection was top-notch, and the service excellent.

Goccialina is good and consistently so. It’s my go to place for a nice meal in Durham when I want to treat myself or someone else. I’ve been coming somewhat regularly since they opened their doors. The food is always amazing and I’ve never had a bad experience or meal here. I suggest making reservations but they can sometimes squeeze you in at the bar.

Maybe the worst service I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve been a fine dining service industry worker for 6 years. Sat 20-25 minutes after our reservation time. Forgot our app altogether, and the entrees were served at weirdly different times for a only a party of 3. One coming out, the other 5 minutes later, the last like 10 minutes later after the second.. and was pretty mediocre Italian food, honestly. I got the mushroom ravioli and it was cold. We received no offers for another round of drinks or dessert – though I mentioned how unhappy I was with the service and it was my birthday dinner.. and the server brought sorbet. Sorbet was the best part, which is slightly sad.
