Food is good, just be prepared to wait when you order from the menu versus the food “line.” Gladys’ was open, so I decided to stop. It’s been a while since I last stopped in. I didn’t make myself known, just ordered like a regular customer and wore a mask by choice. Ordered a breakfast plate with salmon croquettes and two chicken omelets. I expected the twenty-thirty minute wait time. Unfortunately, it took an hour. By the time the food was ready, and seeing others with theirs, I was too sad and frustrated to even look at the plates. The food smelled good, but I wasn’t prepared for the wait time. Foods tastes good. Just be prepared that you may wait. The cashier is also the waitress. So, call ahead, get to know someone by sitting in the restaurant, go handle some business and come back, or bring a book to read while you wait. Enjoy.

The absolute best place to eat. Gladys restaurant is a place you can get breakfast, dinner and supper. It’s good southern home cooking with friendly service. A nice family restaurant. My family and I have eaten there many times since she first opened her restaurant and have never had bad food or a bad experience.

We stopped at Gladys’ in mid March 2020 while coming back from a motorcycle ride down the Natchez Trace Parkway. Gladys’ was the quintessential small down dinner. The service was friendly and attentive and the southern home cookin’ was delightful. Fried okra is growing on me!

This place looked so interesting! Good reviews; Mom & Pop style we love to find! And would be open for another 4 hours! We headed off I-55 and wended our way through MS-12 with a couple of problems on the road. Watch out at the traffic circle, the strangest formation I’ve ever seen. Finally arrived at a completely closed Gladys! Keep your hours of operation up to date, please, especially when you’re off the beaten path!

We had a cheeseburger with all the fixins’ lol. (You know, Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc…) Anywho…the burger was a 1/4 pound of absolute deliciousness and seasoned perfectly! We ordered ahead so the wait was minimal.
