Always a delight to eat here. The food is consistently good and often there is some sort of surprise live music. The vibes are always right. On my most recent visit I had the tortellini with spinach, peppers, and goat cheese. House salad is always a win.

Great little restaurant. Very small, but cozy and intimate. Amazing food and seasonal specialties. Wine, beer and cocktails available. And of couse, excellent service and servers. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed! Photo: spinch spaghetti from summer menu, with penne substitution. Yum!

Simple menu, reminded me of my Nonno’s marinara sauce! We got the penne with marinara (I added grilled chicken and my boyfriend added meatballs). The entree salad was GORGEOUS, amazing homemade dressing! Our only complaint is that the sauce needed just a little more salt or garlic, just missing a litttttle something! Our service was quick, the ambience was great, and the staff was so kind. We didn’t feel like we were in Pittsburgh at all!

Ate here in summer ’19 and enjoyed greatly. Was in town again so went back on a Saturday night in ’23. Lively summer night atmosphere. Host is a nice old guy who sips wine all night lol. Staff was short for a full house, so service attention was lacking (no cutlery, waited to order) but they were hustling. Mussel app (special)was excellent. Salads and bread too. Squid Ink linguine (shown) is a signature and didnt disappoint according to my partner. Penne was way al dente. Again, sign of short staff. IMHO the rush hour experience doesnt justify the fine dining prices ($100 for 2, no alch). But if you want something other than Americana on Walnut St. and budget isnt a worry then try it.

Wonderful Italian food, great atmosphere, and a lovely overall experience. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice dinner in Pittsburgh. You can even stop by Treat for ice cream after dinner.

Food was great! Our server was very friendly but seemed a little inexperienced—she kept forgetting about our table as other diners cycled in and out. The space was cute and filled out well, though we didn’t even have to wait in line!

We got a table right away so that was good but it was shoved way in the back by the kitchen in a busy hallway … not ideal. Our server was nice and friendly. I got gnocchi with marinara. I added grilled chicken to have done protein. The chicken was good and the gnocchi was fine but the sauce was like any boring grocery store sauce and honestly was so disappointing. My boyfriend had penne with sausage. He felt the same but liked the sausage. The best part of the meal was the salad so that’s sad for how much it cost us to eat here. Would not return or recommend.
