Gio’s Chicago Pizza is delicious and authentic. Both the deep dishes that we had with sausage and black olives was excellent. The thin crust was even better, in my opinion. They even cut it properly in squares. I am from Chicago and I know my Pizza. I recommend Gio’s. I almost forgot I did meet the owner and he was a pleasure to talk to.

Tried the tavern and the deep dish. The tavern pizza was amazing. The deep dish was good just the sausage could have had a little more seasoning/flavor. Would come back get a tavern and try a sandwich and wings or another side. Don’t be surprised when you open the door and it looks like a prep kitchen. You’re at the correct location. Like any normal Chicago deep dish be ready to wait while it cooks.

These guys’ wings are the real deal. Tried every fried wing in town? Then try Gio’s brined oven baked wings. That are tossed and glazed in a homemade beer fruit sauce and served with jagoff sauce. It’s absolutely incredible.

Take advantage of this tasty joint when this gentleman is open for business! The pizza is solid! But the wings are an extremely pleasant surprise. 10 count wings for the price of 6 at most other establishments. Large, meaty, mostly flats, with a sweet heat zing. Whatever he’s doing to them, you want them.

Great tavern style pizza and wonderful service! Seriously… I don’t think I’ve ever had nicer service in my life (at any restaurant) than at Gio’s. The ingredients taste great and it seems like whatever money they save by not having a traditional brick and mortar restaurant, they use on quality ingredients!

This was nothing short of delicious. The pizza was the best I can ever remember eating. Italian beef sandwich was great as well. Can’t wait to to try a deep dish in the near future. Also was very nice meeting the owner and talking with him while food was being prepared.

Another Chicago transplant here and this place is absolutely amazing and reminds me of my favorite Chicagoland pizza spots. The tavern style Taylor st pizza is hands down the best pizza I have had since moving here 2 years, finally a place that has giardiniera!!! I live on the other side of Nashville but the drive is well worth it and will be making it again, sooner rather than later.

Had dinner in Chicago but didn’t have to make the drive!! Super impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food! The kitchen environment was a little different but easy to look past with how good the food was, it’s almost like you’re in a secret kitchen. Will dine again for sure! The only down side is that I missed the cannolis on the menu.

I got an Italian sausage sandwich and a deep dish Chicago Supreme. Both exceeded expectations. Both were loaded with flavor and the crust on the pizza was terrific. Will be making this a regular spot.
